“Alisue: Regarding your comments about the H&N tour, I wholeheartedly agree. This also goes for your thoughts involving the nostalgy factor that is a part of Kim. If someone would ask me to picture Kim in my head, I can almost guarantee that the first image that would pop forth would be one with the Select (or thereabouts) look. It's probably the most natural thing in the world though - it was around that time that I discovered Kim and also the period I like the most, so that look has kind of etched itself into my mind :)”

“I'm reading some of the posts and feeling a bit nostalgic. I loved Kim's eyebrows during the early 90's...kind of movie star meets pop star look - also remember being 18 years old- walking outside with a white tank top (very similar to the one that Kim wore in IfICHYou) without a bra, and my mother concernly asking me, "Lisa, don't you think you better put a bra on?" Bit embarressed about that now, because after watching the video a few more times on WTV I have discovered, she doesn't act like a rebel, and goes out like that, she only does it around the flat, and then puts on the spiderwoman dress to go out! Haven't you noticed that all her outfits from that time period could still be fashionable today? ”

“My dear James, I agree with some of your points. The first point being is that I do hope she gets some $$$ for the shows! But more than money, what s touching is seeing the pleasure she feels being back onstage. It s obvious and lovely! What I meant is that if she agreed being part of "Here & Now" in the beginning, it s because she felt enough distance from her singing career and thought it could be fun doing it that way, together with T'Pau and Paul Young. At least, that s how she explained it herself, as a big joke. Now that she s been doing it for a while and enjoyed a major hit with Nena in some european coutries, maybe her position regarding music is changing. But anyway, it s her life and if she really wants to sing again, I don t think it s just a question of rec deal. It s a question of inspiration and motivation! The risk with the '80s tour is that the '80s re-Visited that way are just about nostalgy, there s nothing newly creative about it. And it s such a different thing doing a greatest hits tour per year, from "Kids In Amercia" to "View From A Bridge" and "You Keep Me Hangin' On", than create new songs, new sounds, new words... Each 1 his/her way to express his/herself, maybe Kim s way goes through plants! We and she ll never forget those rockin' years, or course and maybe it s not over ;-) But you know James, even for me, loving Kim Wilde in 2004 responds to a nostalgy linked to my childhood. It s a past thing, how could I love her for her new songs? I love her for the impact she s had on my life.”

“Well gardening... Isn t it a beautiful thing anyway? Maybe there came a time she had to change something radicaly in her life. There are moments like that in our lives, you have to choose "Should I go on doing something I don t believe in anymore or go for something completely new, learn new things that will bring me somewhere else, hopefully in a better place?" Those are important decisions to make and it implies risks and knowing how to make the right choice(s). When I heard that Kim had started growing plants and flowers, believe me I was happy that she finally found a "way out" to that no go zone situation. To answer your question Pat, I think that a good fate is involved with a lucky star in the first place... In Kim s case, after 3 or 5 "Now & Forever" copies sold worldwide, "Tommy" came along and it was the beginning of her second life. The after bizz life. The love and family life. The garden for the kids round the house life. The back to school life. The "courage to leave it all behind" life. I remember thinking while watching her in "Tommy", playing a mum, "Hmmm, how far is she from the PoP/rOck star now..." but I thought she did well her job. Then I met her, her star quality was shining as always, she chatted with a few fans for a few minutes before leaving in the night holding Hal s arm... Gardening for sure has helped her finding Peace at heart again and taking the time to live her life in the barn she had bought and finally could enjoy with her husband to be. She started a new life, that s why we could also see the "Here & Now" thing as big joke, only playing on the big nostalgiK '80s children that we are. But I think she s touching. I mean, it s just like the Nena thing, Nena does her show à la rock star and she really seems to be into it. The difference is that she never dropped music, even during the "bad" '90s times. She went on, recording fairytales for children OK, but always in music. So Nena, even if it s just a game, gives the illusion of a rock monster who managed to stay on top during all those years, while our Kim seems to play the game, having a big laugh, enjoying "View From A Bridge" like in the past for sure, 1 or 2 times a year... Maybe she feels herself happier among the flowers than onstage? Who knows the answer to that... Herself.”

“Mr JR! Of course I loved the matured and fatal image of "Breakin' Away" (at least the sleeve was good ;-), maybe her most coherent look, joining the Kim Wilde elements and the fashion tricks of the mid '90s. My RAK and early MCA years nostalgy makes me sometimes miss Kim s eyes before she modified her eyebrow in a thiner line but anyway, what s sure is that she s a beautiful woman. Now about designing her, I was very good at that game when I was a child, I learnt how to design her without a picture, she grew on my mind and I could re-Produce in design her wilderness... It was before another blonde s wilderness grew on my mind, and now since so many years, everytime I draw a boy or a girl, they look like her, there s nothing to do about it: into my eyes her face remains. And towards the end of last year, tired of watching Kim do the show in her eternal... let s drop the word, "leather cage", I started designing clothes for her long awaited album to come (phewww, if THAT album sees the light of day, it for sure will be the THE most wanted from us, someday...) and I must admit it was not an easy job for me. The '80s Kim Wilde is a long way behind us now and as I grew with that Kim in my head, when I draw, I have to make a big effort thinking "No Alex, it s not about a "Kim Come Away" thing, it s about a woman who, if she does it, will do it in a "let it loose" spirit. So forget about a perfect 20 something body and try to apply your imagination on an actual Kim Wilde." Anyway, I can show you some if you want me too... Pat? “Hey James! First of all, I don t think that the Roxy "Want Me" performance is sexy, that s why I don t especially seeing Kim like that. I love things when they re clear and being sexy is a global attitude, from the way you look inside someone s eyes or coming down the street, never looking left or right ;-) I never thought that sexiness was involved with a vulgar behaviour and Kim is all but not vulgar... Alright now, my favourite Wilde times in term of images was around '82 (pouty Kim with wild hair and big black surrounded eyes...) and '84/'85 (sexy Kim sometimes sophisticated in an '80s style, sometimes still a rebel, discovering she could also smile...). Now today, I d see Kim with another hair colour. You know, that blonde seems to dry her hair very much and a golden blonde, warmer and less peroxyde. I think she could also ondulate a bit her hair, it suits her so well. Now for the clothes, I d see her mixing her classic old jeans with something classy and very feminine, like a black frou-frou top with paillettes to make an shiny effect under the spotlights or something sporty, like a red/blue stripped polo shirt, I know this style suits her well. Or she could also go for an evening sophisticated look, just like the registred picture of her in the users the galler, I loved the way she looked there and it was more of a party look than a garden look. So, the classic black man costume is not a big risk but always right. And it s also a reminder of Marty s rocker vests! You know what I think of her leather outfit, in my opinion worse than the "Teases & Dares" Kim, may you accept my honesty. Seeing Kim packed in her leather onstage during the hot summer days makes me feel uncomfortable and suffocating. I think she could now put it in her souvenirs closet, together with the red "Want Me" dress and the white "You Came" bolero. With those beautiful eyes she could also make them smokey and wet, I love that, it adds to the mystery. And what about those fabulous lips painted in a transparant glossy dark purple? ”

“When I was a child, I went sailing during the summer with my dad and my mum told me on the phone "You ll have a surprise when you come back from your holiday, I m gonna change into a "Subway" Isabelle Adjani haircut style!" and I replied "Wow, I can t wait to see you with your new hair!" It was without knowing what was going to be the surprise... I came back 1 night and when I arrived, I saw an afro Jackson 5 silhouette leaning out the window... I told her "Mum! You told me Adjani!" and she replied "Shut up and come on now!" What happened is that she went to her hairdresser, Ted Sugar Love, 1 of the loveliest man on earth, a transformist. He makes the kinds of Cher, Dalida, Grace Jones, Mylène Farmer, Nina Hagen, Brigitte Bardot and... his biggest icon: Marilyn Monroe. While my mum sat with the chemistry in the hair, he jumped around her telling her "Oh! Here s another performance I want you to see!", and she was like "Errr, OK Ted, but what about my hair?", "Oh it s alright... Watch me there going down the stairs in my "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" dress!" And time went by... My mum told me she saw her hair taking a new allure, sort of a "Putty 2000 Volts In Your Hair" style! She told him "Ted, now I really think you should do something with my hair!" and he went "No, no, no believe me I ve got it all under control, hmmm, this is when I made a show with Grace Jones in Montreux in my bondage dress, watch!", in the end, he sort of realised he was transforming my mum s hair and completely horrified, he screams "Oh my God, it s a catastrophe!", my mother told me his sweet Monroe dedicated salon became an emergency room, with Ted and his friends screaming around her. And the conclusion of it is that when my mum tried to make her hair like Isabelle Adjani, she was transformed in a Jackson 5 because of Marilyn Monroe! Enjoy your day, your summer, your lives everybody, yo!”

“Marilyn s poems... I think that writing was sort of a secret garden for her, sort of a refuge. That built up image was her life, but it also was a cage. She sometimes suffered watching Norma Jean saying good bye in the mirror to the sophisticated love blonde bomb MM, writing helped her escape from that reality... I also think that Arthur Miller, who s her 3rd husband and a famous writer was sometimes horrified/fascinated by what represented his wife, I mean the dreamy fabulous and forever Marilyn. And he never helped leaving her dumb blonde complex behind... So she developped an intellectual complex by his side and wanted badly to prove him that she was more than just a sexy pouting bimbo. So she wrote poems. Very cute, very naive. Very flowery! She wrote about the Beauty of nature and the lovely wild flowers growing in it. I have some at home, I will e mail them to you Pierre. “I just love "The Thrill Of It".. the album version! The keyboard in the middle is just fantastic (reminds me of Kate Bush) with the "ah ha haaa"... one of the best tracks from "Another Step". While Kim made love to the camera in "Chequered Love" or "Love Blonde", Madonna s*cked every boys and girls in her early material. It was done with such a determination that it helped her building the throne she s sitting on today. Her behaviour, wearing nothing more than 'bras on a BoyToy belt and Jesus semi naked 'round the neck, pushed the boundary further. All of a sudden, they all had to show more skin because Madonna sold. Thing is that when they more or less all took off their shirts, Madonna was already somewhere else, transforming a wax black Jesus in real skin, dancing in bras among the burning crosses of America s worst... So yes, definitely, there s nothing to compare between Kim, who had a unique mystery and a spectacular quality in suggesting sex, even violent sex in her early years. As she took off her shirt, it was not Kim Wilde anymore. And then the motivation slowly was going with the wind...”

They re about to realise a brand new album, for the first time in 21 years as the original quintet!!! That album will sell more than all what they did in the '90s, I m sure. It will be a success because they inspire each other musically and with a good quality, people follow. All that to tell you Kim that if I have that big love affair with you since so many years, it s because you ve always managed to stay coherent, going sometimes into directions you didn t agree with ("grrrrrrrrr, put that "Teases & Dares" outfit on fire, please! “Hey, I`m at work and I`m seeing the new avatar for the first time. Cool! Thanks Webmaster. It`s kitsch as hell and I think my ego is gonna let it stay with Kwtv for a couple of months. In my tribute to the ladies in music, I forgot Debbie Harry, and am a bit sorry to her fans out there (starting with the lovely Michelle, naturally). I could add Canadian Indian artist/activist Buffy Sainte Marie, who also possesses that raw edge, despite going thru four decades with a highlight in Woodstock. Anyone with a conscience should know her "master peace" song Universal Soldier, especially in our cynical times (with cynical world leaders, anyway, but aren`t they all, with time...). Check her website www.creative-native.com, her records are becoming hard to find but she is damn well worth it. I`m a little conscious of proposing (hopefully not imposing!) total strangers to a vast majority, but if I do so, it`s because I feel they (also includes Loreena McKennitt) are just as essential as Kimmie, although in a different way. Spirituality in music is so relevant, music can be a fabulous instrument for lifting and guiding the soul. Although I have absolutely nothing against "commercial music" (I listen to a lot of that, and what defines commercial standards anyway?), there needs to be room made for those who carry important messages as well. I was invited to a traditionnal indian gathering week in the mountains of Northern California three years ago, and I was shattered to confirm what I had heard before, that only the very elders listened to my friend Coyote, one of the Shamans of the tribe, the others were foreign to their own culture, and more eager to fully integrate mainstream American society. I gave a farewell speech before all, it was a very emotional moment, and I think a few of the elders approved when I recalled the necessity of bringing the young in touch with their roots). Coming from a white male, I was surprised to get the support of the most respected, such a transcending experience! There, I rambled on again, Geez! I hope I didn`t bore too many of you anyway! “Dear Lisa, once again, we do have so much in common, definitely! Music... I do have memories and sensations from my early days, when I was a baby. You know, I keep everything in my mind ;-) And this night, to explain my M some of my weird moods and my love for music (as big as his) I told him about the very first memory of my life, that s when I was a baby, laying on my little child bed and protected by white bars, drinking in my baby s bottle all rabbits printed. My father sat and played the piano and it s 1 of the sweetest memory I have, a sweet sensation of tenderness and protection, I enjoyed it very much! Later, when things started to go wrong with my dad, we hated each other and the only bridge we could meet on was... music. He sat and played the piano and I sang along, feeling my throat becoming too high on emotions, feeling how good it would smell finding a way that would lead us to make Peace. It s the only thing we have in common: music. But there s a big difference between him and me today. I love music for the tones of emotions it gives to me while he hates it for what he never was able to reach: a shining harmony. David Bowie once answered in an interview that God can t give a more horrible gift to a human than making him a mediocre artist, I guess I know what kind of persons he was talking about... My dad made me love music, women and women in music ;-) in a compulsive way, so I can thank him for the music, at least! For what s more private Lisa, I ll contact you via e mail. You know what? That ball of too high emotions you can feel in your throat, that s exactly what grew in mine while reading your e mail. Lisa, you re a wonderful girl I was led to know in music. “Personal message from me to myself... Yesterday night was I led to understand where this fragility and full time attention need comes from, I think. Especially from men, I want to be loved, looked at, being cared about. It seems I can t get enough and put myself in such a state of mind yesterday night, which is not jealousy, but abandon. But as some of you maybe know, he has canceled nearly all his tour dates for health problems and so is tonight s show! “In june, I was in NYC during the gay pride week. On saturday night, I went to a big party at The Roxy somewhere close to the Meatpacking district (hello Samantha Jones!). The music was good, the guys alright but most of them were on ecstasy and I got tired of all theses pecs and muscles dancing to the techno. A friend of mine told me there was a mezzanine where you could dance to pop music, mostly 80's stuff. So I went there and just when I arrived, would you believe, they were playing Kim's version of "Kids in America" !! It was just perfect timing. The guys there were mostly in their early 20's but they knew the song and jumped to every Ricki's "waowww". After the song, I sat and thought that maybe Kim was in that club, 17 years ago, promoting "You keep me hangin' on". I know that she did a couple of club performances, maybe it was at the Roxy... who knows?”

I was raised on Corn Flakes, Wonder Woman, Charlie`s Angels and Jaimie the Bionic WWoman, which were dismissed at the time as sub standard teenage fantasy shows, but which were obviously fabulous popular table turners when it comes to sex roles and society (that was the name of my "feminism" class at Cal State a long time ago, when dinosaurs were still roaming the Earth ;-) So was Disco, by the way, which integrated black females, gays and Latinos in the mainstream/ popular culture for the first time. Soon after came the backlash, however, with collective sessions of disco records burning on football fields. Then Reagan and Bush (Daddy) came along, accentuating the political and cultural regression in the US, with repercussions as always throughout the world. We need feminist values, carried by men, women and third gender, to make this world more bearable. Choosing cooperation instead of competition, sustainable development instead of wanting to absolutely dominate Nature. For what goes around comes around, and soon we`ll be wearing T-shirts saying "Save Our Ass", and no longer "Save the Whales". Where does Kimmie fit in all this?: Hummm, thorough thinking here, being on KwTV: Well, it has been said before: She has sung songs of self-affirmation, like "Keep me hanging on", and my favourite "Second time", in which she expresses her desire for .. hum, more of ...it. “James, only looking at George Michael makes you understand that his first quality is not humour, God, he takes himself so seriously! I actually really dislike George Michael s persona, jumping on the first occasion when gay is fashionably compulsory to make believe he got arrested and making a vid of it... Sorry Georgie but we re not all stupid and we don t take anything for granted. Beside of that I like him as an artist, he s made a lot of crap kitshy songs ("Last Christmas" was sort of... a lack of inspiration?) but also beautiful numbers, like "Desafinado", "Cowboys & Angels" or "A different Corner". About Boy George now, he s had an incredible life, living the beginning of the '80s in the punky clubbey London, together with Philip Sallon, Steve Strange and Marilyn, watching his stardom growing with a mirror effect on his fans, who, just like Madonna in her early years, all wanted to look like their idols. You could see little Boys George & Girls everywhere, that was a real fashion phenomenom. "Wannabee", the very word invented for Madonna s hysterical fans... Then George, a fragile guy I think, fell into drugs, sadly "encouraged" by his fellow Marilyn (who s teethless today and looks more dead than alive). George got out of angel dust helped by a new found spirituality and went to India to wash his innerself and it seems he was re-Born ;-) a new man, that he had moved away from that bitchy queery world. It wasn t long... I m touched by Boy George s life because the more he grows, the more his make up cage gives a Cartland-like image of him and I think it must be heavy sometimes but he s still followed by fervent fans all over the world, it s amazing. His biggest fan is called Jesus, Kim Wilde s biggest fan is called James ;-) Hey boy, we have to choose which pic we send? Should we send the "Say You Really Want Me"-like picture to the webmaster James? You know, when we all felt the summer hot temperature and needed to lay to down on that big bed? Or with the dog? Marisa Berenson, Ultra Violet, Billy Boy, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, Truman Capote (Andy s official "boyfriend" for 1 time), Jasper Johns, the Jaggers, Barychnikov, Liza Minnelli made the show because they had style and grace. They thought they d re-Invent the modern world, that was Pop Culture, trash american culture. All packed in a club with a big smiling moon upon the bar, snorting cocaine from a big spoon, Bianca Jagger arrived on a white horse led by a naked man for her birthday party, you know, it was all about extravaganza and that big illusion of being the Kings and Queens of the world! That was the decadent '70s conclusion and the introduction to the golden '80s, with the likes of Duran Duran, Bananarama and Boy George. In his diary Andy writes about the very first time he met Madonna when she dated Jean Michel Basquiat in the early '80s and says "This girl has an incredible look, she can be who ever she wants to and I don t know if she does her make up herself because she always looks so perfect." and later wrote about Sean Penn s jealousy ;-))) Andy loved the girls from Bananarama (he had good tastes indeed!) and was good friend with Duranie Nick Rhodes. I think that more than Debbie Harry, Madonna was influenced by Boy George in the first place who was the first re-Interpreting dread locks in Pop Culture, remember her first looks for "Lucky Star" and "Holiday", that s why Georgie always likes dropping a bitchy word or 2 about her, until now... In a recent interview he said "The girl is on botox" (really Georgie? is there still the need to say it?) and back in '92, when she had her "This Used To Be My Playground" vid out, he became crazy screaming "This used to be my video!" Blondie is such a myth and I must say I ve been fascinated by her killer Beauty since I m a child, even before I heard her songs. I m curious of her because of her muse and icon qualities, I read Andy Warhol s diary and they seemed to have crazy nights out together with Bianca Jagger and Truman Capote at Studio 54 back in the golden days... Debbie has been artified by swiss contemporean artist H.R. Giger, the very artist responsable for the first AliEn (my cousin ;-) and the fabulous stage set for the Mylènium Tour by Mylène Farmer tour a few years ago. He gave a very dark interpretation of Debbie, like all his stuff, but darkness seems to fit her well! Kim once answered in an interview during the Tommy era (just before The End - part 1 ;-) that when she saw the likes of Debbie Harry, she was happy not being part of the superstar league, which can lead you to a sad caricature of yourself... Debbie is for me the perfect bridge between Monroe and Wilde (I m not the only 1 for sure!), sort of a rock n roll icon with a Hollywood star quality, very glam. She must definitely be the blond opener to the likes of Wilde, Ciccone, Stefani & Co. Maybe was a little carried by Kim s words about Harry, but I always felt how hard it must becoming older when you are Blondie because she made it all before the others and the spotlights that once flattered your skin tend to make you fade to grey when you re an opener. But there she stands, like an eternal wax statue, inspiring the biggest respect. I felt her in every corner in New York, she s very visible at the moment. I even bought a vintage pin of her that now stands proudly on my military bag, together with my Special K and Ciccone s eye! I wrote the other day that my guy is not very Wilde & Ciccone oriented, but Blondie is 1 of our common bridge! Michelle, I ve been watching the pics on your site and I m wondering, how is it being an artist entering the skin of another? I think you look good as a woman personaly, but I prefer watching your pics thinking "Wow, she s great!" as Michelle than the Debbie Harry look-a-like, because I think it s nicer for you. “Believe me there was a big chaos in every airport I ve been since I flew! I love scandals in the air since I m a child and it doesn t seem to end with time ;-) I made my first air hostess losing her nerves at 12, dropping the fluo yellow orange juice she just gave me on her grey skirt... Well, I have to say she looked a bit out of control since the departure and seemed to have learned her make up and hair skills with Robert Smith, she was french and hysterical, screamed on the plane, and started crying like crazy watching the juice spreading around her skirt... I was petrified and asked my mum who couldn t keep from laughing if she really was angry with me, and my mum answered me "Nothing wrong Alexandre, she s like a comic movie, watch her! The juice won t kill her believe me!" and we both had a good time on the flight, it was my mum and I s first flight to France where my dad (the real one) was touring with George Brassens s bassist, a lovely old man, may he rest in Peace. Another funny story was that little girl in the airport, she was singing all the time sitting on her bench and when she turned her back she saw a black man sitting behind her and the vision stopped her radically. It was very sweet and we all laughed a lot, the black guy included, maybe the first time she saw someone with another colour skin! In Paris my mum did it again and wanted to leave me alone in the hotel room to go for a drink with 2 or 3 guys! I told her "No no no, feel my face, I ve got fever..." and she there "Alright..." with her splendid smile! It s my parents day today, from my mum M do my dad G ;-)”

Prépare toi toi à venir m aider à casser la gueule à Fogiel et raconter nos toutes premières fois anales et à plusieurs, la narine gauche légèrement poudrée et le projo éblouissant nos visages (mieux pour les rides!) à Ardisson... J ai un livre à tirage unique que je dois encore t envoyer, shame on me, mais tu sais comment je fonctionne, il me faut un manager ;-) Maintenant, il n y a plus qu un seul livre que je te dois, mais 2. Tu m as tout inspiré, depuis le début. Tu es un homme brilliant et tu m as aidé à découvrir la mienne et à transformer le brouillon en spirale de mots infernale, à transformer le petit couillon ignorant en papillon. So there I sat, looking around and then I saw among the people on the street a yellow t shirted guy with black hair with a beautiful body and face and thought "Well, James is on his way!" and called him. Some things happen all of a sudden and the sympathy I felt for the guy was immediate, so lovely, so funny and... very good looking! Maybe you don t have a lot of fans around these days Kim, but the remaining ones are really worth meeting, good quality baby Wilde! Meeting Karina was also something big to me, a very touching woman who strangely look like a real Kim Wilde, believe me! Michelle, tell your husband we would love to get remastered editions of the RAK albums - with bonus: B-sides like Shane, Back Seat Driver, Watching For Shapes but alos unreleased tracks or demo verisons - I suspect there are tons of Kim Wilde tunes out there that didn't make the Catch album. Stuff that was deemed not commercial enough after the lukewarm reception of Child Come Away. What I wouldn't give to hear more of 'dark Kim'...”

“Congrats Wildstorm...Well it was My pleasure meeting AlisX for a first Time yesterday, we met in Union Sq park in Manhattan, 17st next to W Hotel around 7pm, sun still was shinning, when walked up close to the holel with my friends dog, there was a cafe where people can sit outside and enjoy the view, and thats where i heard Voice--James James :) i looked at it there HE was Shinning like a FASHION icon, all in Black with funky cap on, and holding Glass of white wine on his hand...I said YES This is ALEX, i walk up to him and said "Hellloooooooo" we haged holded took some pics talked then end up in my friend house, where my friend wellcome us with nice Gold Vodka & Tonic, we chatted about Kim Wilde, Madonna , LIFE & LOVE & SEX..etc. then around 9pm Door rang Karina walked in, Alex got very excited and so as Karina...They looked at Karina's photos exchanged there point of views in life etc, well Thats about it. Ohh for the record we were listening American Life CD, Mariah Carey, then of course Kim Wilde Loooooved, AliX wanted me to play Dancing in the DARK but i didn't have it, well not at least at my friends Apt. Anyway, PS Pierre Darlin im hoping you have That Loose Woman interview for us WTV can see it. I wish you guys all 1 day we will be in ONE bar of coffee shop and chat that would be sooo COOL maybe Soon U never know”
