“I met Kim several times but never speak to her. The first time i saw her, face to face, it was in the Another Step tour in France. She arrived in her bus and went down; a few fans were waiting for her and she signed autographs. She was really beautiful. At a moment, (listen Jr..), she put her head on my shoulder (no? yes! but don't ask me for a photograph, i have'nt got one!), and she signed my ticket. I was without words and legs, looking at her like a fish going to eat. Gloups. And then she left and I looked at her going to the concert-hall.../... I was young and carefree!!”

“1 thing I remember is a girl when I was at school, she was a bit vulgar but entertaining the boys (so am I) and she had a crush on me. “Great to see an interview in German, as I love to watch programs in other languages! Couldn't understand a word, but agree with Eric that the guy on the show was incredibly irritating. Both ladies look so stunning close up, especially Kim, she looks absolutely radiant! Nena's choice of hairsyle is wonderful and she has lovely features, but she doesn't seem to have that certain "glow" that Kim has (must be those organic vegetables!) A year later, I was infected with HIV, from a man I hardly knew, and who forced his way. It has now been twenty years with the virus, ups and downs in my health, my social and professional life. Today however, I am rocking, looking like a million dollars and getting loads of envious looks at the club or at the pool(I'll send pics to anyone who asks as living proof ;-), working a job I enjoy, and noone suspects anything (unless I trust them to tell). The combination therapy has to do with it, of course, but I think the will to live, that force of life within, is the predominant factor that explains why I am here today, kicking ass and not being sorry. I am Million years away from 'It's a sad sad situation', but again, Kim sang it in 1987. Still, it may apply to some affected in the western world (depression, social exclusion, resistant virus etc) and of course to those in poorer countries which give no access to therapies. I was so glad to learn that Kim uses organic for gardening, and for cooking for herself and her family. Respect for the Earth is essential if you want her to love you back, and keep you on her grounds (Am I losing anyone here? Oh well, give it two secs and think about it :-) I never thought I'd be writing about myself in this way in particular, in this forum. A bit surreal, but I read those previous texts about someone who knew somebody who had it, and I thought, "well, I must give it my first-hand experience and personal version , I'm alive and kicking, not the stereotype one would expect, and people must know that there is hope when you give yourself a chance. As Pierre said earlier, life and music sometimes intertwine (oh, don't they always?), and this is just an example. Four letter word to all, Philippe.”

“Very cute message JR, sometimes I just find your posts irresistible ;-))) Someone very dear to my heart who is HIV positive since 1983 (glups...), working in a restaurant (hard work, always under pressure) had to start a tri therapy a few years ago because he was becoming to weak :-( Tri therapy is a very heavy treatment, you can t miss your pills even once because the chemistry fights so hard the virus that the HIV becomes very "defensive and agressive"... The pills have to be on a permanent temperature, well, you know all those details that make life just not as light and fun as it should be, most of the time. I was so happy for him that he could stop the treatment this year, he s part of a project in Geneva that is working hard to find THE solution, that means he s followed by doctors. I went with him all the times he had his check up in hospital during the treatment and the "funny" story is that I read about Kim s first pregnancy reading a *people* mag, waiting for him the first time we went to see the doctor together. I was trembling for him and trembling for her... Sometimes we can have so many mixed feelings in life. Well, that s life and it s worth living it ;-) Bye bye!”

But seeing the way media took Aids as a big sensation in the beginning and then hide it from the public eye because there was Marc Dutrout, Princess Di, the crazy cow is just a shame. They choose what to show or not and there are plenty ways to show something. Well, before Aids we had the Band Aid. That s why I always feel a bit uncomfortable when I see a celeb doing a charity on TV. I love the way she sings it, hey, Mother Mary! And of course, the burning voice of Kate Bush ;-) I remember the first article I saw about Aids, it was in french mag VSD (Voici s sister ;-) and it was about a gay guy dying in an american hospital. His boyfriend told the journalists what kind of bad treatments he suffered from the nurses. It was shoking, the words and the pictures of that skinny man. (Le poids des mots, le choc des photos... formule musclée qui touchera toujours le grand nombre). I also remember a friend of mine who had this awfull news having it in her veins at the age of 20, his dad refused to share the bathroom with her anymore... I really hope it s in this life, could be quicker but there are people becoming rich rich rich in the shadow who unfortunately have better interest making it... slow. That s the world, that s 2003, we are the world! Phewwwww, I just can t stop expressing myself! ”
