“I've just read Marcel reports about the tour where it said according to Rick Someday caused less interest from the general audience in Paris so it was dropped.When I can read comments here on KWTV about Someday,I realise there's a big difference of perception between people who are on the scene and the ones in the audience.In the opposite of Rick,I had the feeling that the audience was very attentive and everyone was silent to appreciate.When it's really good,you just stay and listen without a word. ”

“As others have said, video quality is poor. But this is one of my favorite Kim songs of all time--so that's why the high rating. Great lyrics ("I don't know where it's taking me, but I want to go..."); should have been a single. ”
“God, that is a Wilde souvenir. I remember perfectly how I burst in tears, a perfect mixture of joy and sadness, well that s what I call Beauty. I knew that just behind me there was just another guy, feeling exactly the same as me. Watching the shapes of the past going by, enjoying the present to the max. It was amazing. On that song, his shoulder was the best place to be on. "... une nuit sur ton épaule..." It was 100 % Gold: Lisa, Gérard, Karl, my 3 little "belges"... of course Pierre and Kim crying her heart out, for love again. "Someday" has always been 1 of my favourite. He now just wants to be a musician,he's inspired,......his mum is worried. “Guys, To be honest, I feel totally cool about setting up a poll on this web site when a dozen of persons have been nicely asking for it by mail. As you'd have probably noticed, I'm *always* very cautious when it comes to words. As a consequence, I never, ever wrote "Should Steve be Kim's guitarist", but "Would you like Steve to be Kim's guitarist again", which makes a slight but pretty enjoyable difference.. As far as I can remember, there used to be more aggressive polls in the past, such as "who should Kim name her son after?", but, hey, it wasn't on this web site; if I didn't like it, I simply didn't take part in it, and that's it! I regret I don't have the time to read all of the forums at the moment, cos some posts they really would make my day! Take care everyone P ”

Steve wrote a couple of days ago: "Maybe Marcel could post an official notice telling me and the fans why I am not acceptable, then we can all forget about it". I have no information, all I can do is guess and give my own opinion, and that is never a good thing when you're perceived as someone who speaks on behalf of someone else. Sure, Perry wasn't available for a couple of dates, but a replacement was quickly found, perhaps even by Perry himself. Matt is an accomplished session guitarist as well, I saw him live at Parkpop and was well impressed. So it's not a question of being "acceptable" or not, the issue simply hasn't been on the table I think. Once again, this is not an official notice and just guesswork on my part. The few moments I have talking to Kim and co. I am not inclined to ask about their business. It's none of my business to butt in. They know what to do and I trust them to do whatever is right for them. I can recommend everyone else here does the same. ”

“Steve, What? Their not looking for a new guitarist? I know this sounds creepy, but I have three dolls; one's called Steve, one's called Kim and the humpty dumpty looking one's called Ricky. I dressed Steve in pair of leather pants and a red silk shirt and alternated his guitars during the sets! I even shined a light on him during his killer guitar solo!! Bummer! Anyhow Steve, we all still like Kim, but YOU were the one who got to work and hang out with her during her prime, with Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Prince Albert of Monarco and many other fabulous people. No offense to Kim, but I'd love to see you work with another "IT" girl, and if you have the time I'm sure you can easily. Seems like you're really enjoying being a family man again. It's obvious that Kim really liked working with you, she painted your picture, called you precious, let you borrow her expensive face cream. Is her management very honest with Kim? What if Kim asked "can Steve play?" and Nick said " so, he said he can't"?? Kim could be totally unaware of what's going on. Give her a call, speak your mind. Who else, do we think Steve should play with? Who's the next hottest thing? ”

“Regarding the poll: I am not sure what a "modern look" has got to do with anything, really. I actually thought the music was the main point? I guess I am getting old or something - besides, I can't figure out what's so amazingly modern about the current band anyway. Last but not least, unlike some others here I do not consider Perry to be a heavenly gift - he's OK, but mind you that he's a session player and as such he doesn't blow me away. In particular, the fact that he apparently has got problems keeping a steady pace without drums backing him up doesn't leave me too impressed, I am afraid. Not saying that he's outright bad, but I sure wouldn't label him as a "great musician" or anything. Right - start throwing the stones... now! :P”

“IguK: Yes, of course - giving life to an instrument is a whole lot more than just being able to play it. Even if you're able to play it fast or whatever - Yngwie Malmsteen comes to mind. Relatively simple arrangement can come alive in the right hands - in some cases, it gets a bit more complex though. You can find combos of great arrangements plus great skill that still leaves some feeling that it all sounds too "stark" or "unemotional"”

“James Darlin, I never said Steve didn't look cool and modern, but I would ideally like to see him with a cutting edge look that will blow all those other guitar hero's away. I like Perry, even if he is a bit on the ridiculous side, however I want Steve to find his edge. I think it would be nice to compile a list of pictures of Steve from the beginning of his career to the end and compare a lot of other pictures of Steve with other guitar hero's from the beginning of rock to date. Could be fun! Good thing about Steve is he's skinny, which means he can squish into a pair of leather pants or levis. David Bowie's very thin too. hmmm We'll have to do some research.”

“The Prince album in question was "Purple Rain" and it was released on June 25th, 1984. By all accounts I have found so far, Kim's "Teases and Dares" was released 3 to 5 months prior to that...so...it looks like Kim & Steve win! I agree, Steve, that "Guitar" riff sounds identical to "Suburbs of Moscow". So, when are you going to unleash the law dogs on Prince? “Just a late comment on Steve's trials in Spain...I don't blame you at all for your anger about the situation, mate. When someone steals from you, especially when it happens in an area you thought was secure, you feel personally violated. Its also important to remember, in the information age, something as "simple" as stealing a passport is essentially the same as someone trying to kill you. Your identity is almost as important as your life because they are very much linked in our society. Its unfortunate, but its a reality we all must deal with. Someone who takes your identity is someone who has taken your life. Forgiveness takes time, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with fantasizing about the untimely demise of your transgressor in the intervening time. ;) Fantasy is a healthy release...nothing wrong with it. Anyway, glad to hear, since I am arriving late, that customs got it all worked out for you, Steve. It still sucks though that somebody out there has your identity in their hands. Heh...wow...work takes me away for a few weeks and this place is still going strong with a constant stream of news about Kim. Very cool that she is still doing what she loves, and I'm glad that I still get to enjoy her...even if its only through second-hand sources. Heh...don't think there's much chance of her playing live in Colorado any time soon. ”
