“Just a Quick update :) 4 WTV.Last night i met Sabrina and her boyfriend....I met her at NYC upscale HotelBar -we had few drinks , great conversation, sushi for late dinner then we got little too tired to see live band perf in Downtown. They are so Much FUN :). we had a great Time. Have FUN everyone!”

“I'm glad you receieved the song and yes the album did very well here in Denmark and the rest of Europe. It went to the top in Sweden and peaked at no. 5 in Denmark. It did reach top 10/20 all over Europe and no. 12 in the UK. I have read that it has sold more than 500.000 copies so that's pretty good for that kind of album, and with almost no promotion made. She still is a star and her voice just goes under my skin, I love it.”

“JR: I would not cheat on ANYONE with Rob Lowe. He has a skanky reputation here in the US. And Johnny Hates Jazz was played here in America--at least "Shattered Dreams" and "Turn Back the Clock." I have a feeling that I'm one of ten people who bought the album which I purchased on CD last year.”

“I just received Kim's new compilation "The Hits Collection" and it's really nice. There is a good biography co-penned by Marcel, a couple of rare photographs, and of course the wonderful and comprehensive tracklist. It's great to finally hear a perfect CD version of "Bitter is Better" ! Worth the wait and the 11 euros.”

“Yes that is Calvin the back on the cover of "Kim Wilde" from 1981 and in the video to "Kids in America". James do you remember the band Johnny hates jazz, he is also in their videos (quite obvious) but I'm not sure if you ever had them played in the US?”

“James: Well, if you watch just about any 1981 performance of Kim's, Calvin will be the bloke on the drums. He's also on the cover of the debut album. Unless I am completely confused, this should be a shot of Kim and Calvin: click this link. As for Kim being wooed by celebs/actors, Kim commented about that in a relatively recent article. Among other things, she mentioned that Gene Simmons "sniffed around" her once and that she just kept moving seats :D”

“Concerning "Sea of love" - It is the same song but it is not the version used in the movie and it is not Marty who wrote. I think several of his hits back then in the late 50's and early 60's were American hits first and then Marty recorded them and had a hit with the same song in the UK. I think this was very common back then to do that. "I have the version with Marty somewhere but when you hear it on the radio today I think it is the original tha tthey play, mostly anyway.”

“JR: I saw your question about the song "Sea of Love" and went to look up the songwriting credit. The song you hear in that movie was written by Phil Phillips. Never heard Marty Wilde's version, so it could be another cover of this one that you heard in the movie, or one he wrote with a similar title. Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers had a huge hit with it back in the 80s, though.”

And I really love also the official video clip for that funky disco hymns and the way she moves... sometimes it's a bit funny, brilliant and sexy. “OK, how to rate this..? It's an alright lip synch (it's not live, Marc), I guess, complete with some of the in my opinion perhaps not brilliant coreography off the video, though Kim's hardly to blame for this, I guess. It's one of the songs I quite dislike, from an era I'm not crazy about and a commercialised image that I'm really not keen on *coughs* If Kim looks fab? Yes, certainly, that goes without saying, I think. But I won't give the clip a high rating for that reason alone - however, I've had the habit of not giving out really low ratings unless there's something really messed up about the performance (and Pierre's perhaps not that likely to show such recordings, I suspect). As that's not the case here, and Kim's certainly doing an OK job, I'll surprise myself by giving this one a 7 in the end. :o For the record though, the "monologue" right before this performance is an easy 10 - had it been included in this particular clip, I'd certainly have had problems rating it :D”

“Steve, You're probably more familiar with term "shredding". It's actually more a technique than a term of measurement. Unfortunately my guitar teacher's hero was Michael Angelo, which is probably not the genre of music most of us are into here on WTV. If you want to play guitar like a speed demon, pick a note as fast as you can, then begin to slow it down. This way you can build up your own personal PPS. If you practice this you will begin to build up speed when you pick fast, and you will also work on keeping your technique the same! ”
