Karina,i think Kim had said she was fan of someone(i'm really not sure but maybe it was Adam Aunt,the one JR told not long ago) but realised they had nothing to say to eachother.Now fan of the star's music,i remember she often spoke in the fan club magazines about Gary Glitter. ”

People were just listening to whatever and whenever. Much more Relaxed:) and laid back. I was 14-16yo when I saw KimWilde first time in Armenian TV click here they didn't even show official videoclip as you can see this clip is more intimate and even better, Next day my friend in highschool and my friends even relatives talked about Kim -how interesting looking she was, No big earings, No fashy 80's cloths or hair, she looked very different -TV people loved her too so they kept showing the Performance over and over.Then of course Love Blond video-then Soppot 88 We didn't have top 40 or anything. So the REst is History. I knew few Armenian Pop singers, who thought "Wow she doesn't have the best voice but she does have something soo shinny and charming about her on stage very Free". Now back to your Question about USA i came to New York in 1990 Of course Kim is not american artist it was hard to find her on TV or whatever, however the Bars i go few DJ Loves Kim and they always show her videoclips or play her songs. Me & DJ Rick clicked he Loooved her too. He had All Kim's videos official releases because Rec companys send him to show her in the videobars. It alsmade me think wow-see If "One important person such as DJ loves Artist all Bar and club will listen to her and love her too"So the rest is History. PS: You Keep Me Hangin on being played in American Radiostations pretty often. ”

Next Friday,he's leaving home to go beside Marseille for his job,so i'll have the computer just for me for almost one week!We're gonna have parties everyday with my daughters when he'll be off(he's aware of it,i always say him "oh great,you must go away,it's gonna be cooler at home,go,go!!).”

“The Gig A few hours ago, she had a serious cold, I asked her "Do you feel like singing tonight?" and she answered me "I feel like singing tonight, I just hope my body lets me do! I keep my fingers crossed" and I told her, "I keep my fingers crossed for you too". So I was there, viewing the packed club (it was full, around 1500 persons) from the VIP bridge, drinking champagne with Stéphanie, I thought "Oh well, let s hope she ll have the energy to do the show with panache!" I sincerely doubt about that, as I had seen her feeling sick. As soon as she arrived onstage, after her musicians, I knew it was about to be a fantastiK moment. What I call "a Kim Wilde Moment". I often write about Madonna here too, because I love her too. Believe me that, as much as I felt disappointed by her last show in Paris (she was bored), this concert was such a nice surprise. “The Rendez Vous Excited as the Queen of Bees, I was running to the MAD, calling Pierre because I deeply wanted to share that with him for all the reasons he knows. What a thrill, shit! As I came inside the club (This place I know well I have to say, as I enjoyed my own success a few years ago on the same stage with my first fashion collection!), I saw all those brit guys with big arms and lovely and unique accent. Ricki was onstage, Roxanne was onstage too... I looked at the backstage, knowing where the Love Blonde was chilling (she just arrived from Zurich). The guy from EMI came to me and asked me to be patient, as she was not in her top form. So I waited, watching and grooving to the sound of Gorillaz that was played loud... After 20 minutes, he came to me, "Alex, come on." and took me by the arm. My heart went boom boom! I mean wow, I was about to meet 1 of my greatest role models from all times, for the second time. I got backstage... Tah Dah! Here she was. Beautiful. Gorgeous. So good looking. Her hair was a mess (I love it that way!) "à la Schoolgirl". After saying hello and notfying her that her biggest fan was currently standing in front of her, she thanked me with that lovely smile of hers. She had a cold, she drank tea with lemon. I sat down with my recording tape and was about to start my interview. I pushed the "rec" button and went "So..." as she asked me in French "Oun moment s il viou play", she had to get ready too. We then sat down together for half an hour of discussion about her, her career, her life, Madonna, the "Say You Really Want Me" video, her own personal favourite albums, and on. You ll have the Q&A soon, have to move on now! At the end of the interview, after having dedicating her "Select" album to me, she asked me "So Alexander, you ll come to the gig tonight?", "Of course Kim! Got my Select album signed all over, by RicKim. Roxanne was having the time of her life too. The crowd was wild, wild, wild. Sorry if it sounds a bit posh, but I m used to VIP corners, and jet set people are usually bored, drinking champagne for free and never looking in direction of the stage. And breath control is more difficult if not impossible when dancing or moving on stage, and sometimes breath is deliberately used for expressive purposes anyway. It is not possible for anyone to be on form all the time. And we find that Opera singers are not above reproach. I have heard many an Opera singer who over emote, colour the music too much with excessive vibrato, arrogantly suggest they can sing anything when they can’t, and who are bad at acting. Hectic schedules is one of many reasons which can affect a Star’s performance. A case in point is “Tommy” the musical where she had to perform 8 shows a week for an entire year. A critic on the Late Show said that Kim knows what a note is, and the director who enjoyed numerous awards for the show on Broadway isn’t going to risk his reputation by using a second rate singer for the London shows, and neither is Pete Townshend. And if we also take into account her workouts like jogging, aerobics, and swimming - all great breathing activities, this combines to become a lasting testament to her technique, not forgetting that production of tone is part of technique also as well as accurate pitch. I will return on the remakes a little later, when I have a little more time. I wish you the best in trying to convert people to like Kim Wilde. Remember that Kim said “The piano is where it really starts”.”

(otherwise I wouldnt be a huge fan ) by her incredible smile, her fantastic timbre, her looks, her aura (dont know the word for "ausstrahlung") and this is why I still dont understand why an interview like this has been put on DVD....definetly not to gain new fans... there could have been a chance to really present her very well. Also I must say my heart was bleeding when I saw her on the famous German TV programme TV-Total. Was she a little drunk ? She completely got out of balance when the moderator drove her through the studio sitting on a sofa. During the show she had to stand next to band like a little lonley girl, as if she was a no-body. Why did her management let TV-Today do this to her ? She sang "you came" and "kids in america" with what you call "insecurities". (whats going on there with her ?) When she had left, one of the next guests (a commedian) said "what a great voice she has !" and the audience laughed a little. Poor Kim, I am still sad today when I remember this. So when you write that you can convert people into Kim Wilde fans because of quality, I would love to believe that but its not easy. If you are a professional quality-singer of course you have to be able to sing the right notes even if you are stressed, tired, nervous or what ever. Or you should just do playback if you want to make new fans. For me it would be a great pity if she didnt sing live anymore. For me its a little bit like the Maria Callas Syndrom: many people didnt like the voice of Maria Callas because of her timbre. But she definetly was loved for her ability of expression. So maybe people dont like Kim Wilde because technically seen shes not a good singer (why does her husband not teach her what "appogiare la voce" means) but I (and I am sure many others too) love her voice because of her fantastic timbre. There are many recordings when she really doesnt sing well, but when she hits the notes (like in the videos here in gross-gerau, nachtwerk etc) there is nothing like her. Its the best I have ever heard then and I am ready to wait a long time for a few times of completle fullfilling... So I was really happy to find the European soul song on the Perfect girl CD....GREAT ! I hope there will be a live concert CD / DVD to prove the world... she can if she can !!!! The new remixes on her CD... Like you I was more concentrated on the new ones...unlike you I think "baby obey me" is a cool song. will be my next summerhit.... always feel summertime then...smile you came - I would have loved it in an even more rock version four letter word - boring, and too much done to her voice....I prefer her voice pure without any effects (wheres a live recording CD ???) You keep me hanging on - well, its ok but not special to me... I heard a different version on a finnish website and I definetly preferred that one !! Kids in America - sound too much the same View from the bridge - this one i like, especially this effect which soulds like water - I like that one ! Cambodia - Think we had enough of these strange remixes, which hardly sound like the song itself, too little of Kims voice is to be heard. (the perfect girl CD and the mixes are great !) I would have preferred it if Kim and Uwe would have experimented a little bit more with her remixes like Uwe did with NENAs songs, where they invented new songlines/words to the old ones and made a really new song out of an old one. “Linda, It’s very true, Kim has a beautiful timbre to her voice, and equally true that sometimes she does feel insecurities, gets a little nervous, and of course, occasionally she is very tired and so can be off form somewhat. The new album is very strong showcasing Kim as even more powerful, purer, and incredibly expressive, and fully on form. My favourite tracks are, “I Fly”, “Together We Belong”, “Forgive Me”, “Game Over”, and also “Lost Without You”, so I am certainly not disappointed. “Baby Obey Me” is not my favourite, but I do like her sense of humour, and it provided a nice contrast to the heavier and speedier tracks. “Maybe I’m Crazy” has that delicious use of her lower voice, but I found the chorus too catchy where I am likely to tire of it with repeated listening. As a track to compete with Kylie’s type of music, it works fine. As always with Kim, she varies things, and takes in a lot of influences, but still makes them her own - the hallmark of a true Star!! Your point about the lack of really big hits - that is a point to consider. The classics of old have been so long embedded in our memories that the test of time has certainly proved them to be classics, and it is always difficult to judge how far reaching actually are the new songs. Then again, her later material has been largely overlooked by the majority so that any potential classics just don’t get the fame they deserve. So I think time will tell on this one. Young people should listen and stop allowing the media to dictate to them what is cool. If they can do that, Kim can be a huge Star again. It is unfortunate that her fanbase isn’t large enough to give her top selling hits, but it does show that good music is a proper appreciation for those few who are truly sensitive to it. But we can try to convert some. Since the young are often mesmerised by a Star’s image, it can help them initially to deflect them off the Star, and concentrate on the quality and knowledge found in the musical arrangements. Forinstance, we could show them how a talentless keyboard player simply provides only physical energy of movement in his/hers aggressive playing, but he/she is only playing one note to trigger off simpleminded rhythm patterns, and then you can show Ricki doing much more fingering skill proving his knowledge of chords and harmonies. Gradually, we can bring in the Star, Kim, and impress them with her talent of being able to sing on such thoughtfully designed arrangements. That is one approach anyway. Maybe you would like to talk about your reaction to the remakes on the album next time. I must admit, it seemed like a strange approach to an official album because Kim has never done that before, and usually fans like new songs, maybe the odd cover version, but not remakes. Anyway, what did you think of them?”

First of all I am so happy....no, much more than happy...dont know a word for this, that there finally IS a new album and that hopefully she will be back for many many many albums too. That would just be...it ! Somehow I always believed that new records will be recorded...even though it didnt seem like it. So, of course, I love the new album with every track, theres no doubt. As a Kim Wilde fan it convinced me completely. "Game over" so much reminds me on the very first (b-side) songs she did, my favorite is, "together we belong". "I fly", i love very much too, as well as, "maybe im crazy"....both could have become her first singles too, dont you think !? - Theres only one thing that I am a bit sad about...but in a Forum, where you only are allowed to say: I love this, I love that..., I almost dont dare to mention it...anyway: I am a bit sad, because I cant hear a really really big hit on the album and I am afraid she wont gain many new fans additional to the old ones, she already has. I always try to get my friends into the Kim Wilde fever and with this new album, it almost works...but then theres this really big hit missing, she s always wearing this black suit, when she s singing live, every now and then her voice gets insecure....(when she doesnt for me she s the queen of all singers ever) these are all things I absolutely dont care about, cause I think the timbre of her voice is simply incredible and for me thats what counts. Also I was sad that the DVD of her album didnt present her in a better way...once again to convice my friends... again wearing black, looks completely different than in the "you came" video, and is doing this strange sniffing thing all the time as if she had a cold or something...... Richard,I asked Steve to know if Phil Oakey was as tall as he seems to be but as he(Steve!)is a real guy,he mostly talked about girls and he's so subjugated that he couldn't answer so you can tell me(but I don't mean you're not a real guy!!). Steve,I think nobody likes his own voice(believe me when I say you've got a really nice voice!).Maybe all english have noisy voices but to French, english is a beautiful language to hear and to read(Richard,est-ce que tu parles couramment le français?).The only two times,my teachers told me i had a good accent,it was because I had a cold so I had a noisy voice;generally,I have a very awfull french accent and english teachers always gave us complex about it.But english lessons were only funny times because I come from an area where some people(like a friend of mine at school) have a ugly accent when they speak french,so it's worst when they speak english,the teachers were dismaid,we were always happy to go to english lessons only for that,we laughed for an hour! Steve,my youngest daughter doesn't agree with you about your voice. She had the headset to hear Out of control and she shout "it's great because it's the first time I can hear Steve's voice" and she sang the chorus with you. I think you're her new hero,I'll tell you when she'll take Little ponies and Barbie off her walls to put your photos instead!When I watch the Gross Gerau live,she says"hush mum,Steve is playing!"or "look mum,Steve has got his black guitar" and next says"oh look now,he has changed,he's got his beautiful glittering guitar!",as you can see i think you have found your biggest fan!! I'm thinking of Pierre,I know he's gonna do a wonderful job,it will be great to have the two voices,just two for the price of one!We're behind you Pierre!!You already know Pierre I heard you again on Myspace and you also know what I think about your voice. “Hi folks just been catching up with the latest gossip. I see you guys have been talking about the Human League and Phil Oakey.It reminds me of a time when we were in Munich with Kim to do a concert and also to do a tv show called Nasawas with Thomas Gotcha. We stayed in a hotel which had Giorgio Moroder's studio and the basement and who did we bump into.. Phil Oakey ,what a nice guy. Giorgio was producing him and Phil was constantly worrying that he couldn't sing in tune when he was recording and he made no effort to cover up his worries. So we all went out and had a couple of really nice evenings with him. Moroder did an excellent job on producing him and Phil's voice was great he had huge hits but it was nice to meet somebody so grounded and normalregardless of his success must be something they put in the water in Sheffield!!”

“James, I lost my passport a few weeks ago,I searched the new house over and over,I had to go to Brussels to film Millionaire and I was going crazy. I drove 100 miles to London to be told go away,by the staff,come back in 4 weeks,but I have to go tomorrow,well you're not going they said. In Europe you can walk between France Belgium Holland they don't care,we're supposed to be a common market,and they are. In the end I took a cab back to my car,as you can't park in central London,I told him my problem and he said,you know I have a small safe where I keep all that stuff. I went home depressed and at six am I woke up thinking"I have a small safe"I bought it for the new house months before and forgot I had it!My passport was in there! So now I can travel again,but I understand your frustrations. There is always another time to see Kim.”

It is very Kim 81-83 RAK bringing to 21Century.She sings rather well live - Marc its very hard when you "Listen" song on the record"CD" then you listen on TV live its Not easy they always sound very different. I think she is Not a Perfect singer, but she knows how to Deliver her songs quite well. World will be soo Borring if everyone would sound like Celine Dione. The Human Leagues producer and member,Martyn Ware was in my class at school,he produced hits for me with Lena Fiagbe in 94. Phil was very shy and reclusive,he picked the girls from a disco just up the road from where I lived. They never left Sheffield,I had to,to find better work,as I am freelance,not a band member. I met him again in Bournemouth when Pierre was over here,he was very nice,and for the boys,the girls are drop dead georgeous,lovely long legs and,,,,,,,,,I'd better stop there!
