“These days, when I meet, talk to, listen to or read who still not have that capacity of reducing his/her *EgO* to a human size, it makes me feel sorry fro the person... My ego was huge enough to realise that if I didn t love myself for the right reasons, then nobody would ever love me for what I really am. When you suffer that kind of complex, then you have the illusion that everybody s waiting to see your picture or read your posts, but soon after, you realise that nobody gives a f***. When you realise that, then you can give yourself the "humble" word. Humble does not mean underrated, it simply means giving ourselves the importance we have, no more or less. I m currently reading 1 of my biggest icon s biography, Marlene Dietrich. She was a beauty queen and together with Greta Garbo they were the first women to give "cross up dressing" a glamourous treatment. Marlene was such a humble person, she said that she could only thank her lucky star, but not her talent or beauty. She also said that saddness is a private affair, so right! The touch that I get from her is incredible... So today, on the last day of 2005, I can say that 1 thing I learnt through the K experience was humility. I hope the persons who suffer a too big *EgO* will understand that too, someday... On that note, I wish you all a happy 2006, full of great surprises, full of love, full of yourselves. I wish that the persons who got tired of posting here won t be masochistiK enough to ever come back ;-) and I wish you all to stay inspired. You can dance, for inspiration!”

“Hello Wild Dears! I m just back from Paris where I had a wonderful time, enjoying the balance of the romantiK and cultural sides of the city. Like each time I go there, I visit the trendy fashionable store Colette and guess who I found myself shopping with? Karl Lagerfeld, dudes! He was simply coming there to buy his 81th I-Pod... Well, seems he really loves music! I m not personnaly a celebrity sucker, so I didn t even realise he was standing there by my side. My guy came over and told me, "Hey, can you see who s in?", and I was "Oh... dear old Karl!" I must say he s much nicer in reality than on T.V. I ve always been impressed by his wide culture and as I m currently having a deep look into all what brought Coco Chanel to the 20th century women, it was quite the right time to meet the guy in real! And as I love eating too, I went a few times eating in jewish restaurants (I love their food) and yesterday night, as we left "Chez Marianne", a blonde girl was singing on the radio about an air force wife and her Thailand based lover... Well, it seems Kim is a real classic in France! And french people have that quality of remembering what s good for them! So Kim, I hope you ll enjoy your 2006 year in music in France too! Oh well... is next year going to be a "back to roots" celebration? I don t know why, but I really, really, really think so... And not only for you Kim! Taking a distance can be a positive move to see what we re really good at. We all should do so sometimes. I ve just done it and I can clearly see how much I ve grown these past years, it s great! But it also mean a lot of work and passion. We all have it here, or don t we? I wish you all the best. Be happy and never lose your goals, even when they seem darkened by other perspectives. Now I know what "Never take "no" for an answer" means. “I can't really make up my mind of how to rate the vids! :( Should I concentrate on the performance, or take my opinion about the actual song into account? Well, I usually like to believe that I am rating the clip and not the song, but end up being influenced by the latter anyway (look at my Cambodia ratings for starters..). So.. Not one of my fave songs really - a sweet but not very original melody and I don't find the lyrics terribly exciting really. I agree with nickelie that adding some "rain" to the video wasn't really necessary - why overstate things? Kim's looking sweet and classy though, and there's nothing wrong at all when it comes to her hair *arches an eyebrow at James* All-in-all, Kim's looking nice in a lip-synched video with somewhat unnecessary elements. Top rating for Kim, lower for the presentation and for the song itself.”

“def Ace of Base- they are my guilty pleasures i even bought there European released album 2003-04 De Capo and its good pop album, they were fresh and cool but as times went by they didn't grow but i still like them. NOW back to Another Step and Close, YES Another Step album surprised me, after such a strong Single "You Keep Me Hangi on" album def didn't leave up to excpectations she just NAILED that song like no one else Even Diana Ross couldn't keep up with that and she knew it. The Stylist i thought did a fantastic job on CLOSE promotions and live perf were just Fabulouse, YES Alex -I still think that "Never trust a stranger" was peace of 80's ART, just like Madonna's black pointy beaustie', it was Kim's tights with that shirt and little short jackets her signature look...But i still think Madonna had more support from "FASHION World" then Kim for some reason i think my opinion Kim wasn't friendly with FASHONISTAS the publicity was very week and not soo supportive of her. In the other hand a lot of jelousy i believe troughts Kim she was someone that many many people will have hard time to relate, as i said to her "Honey you re out of space Gorgeous" what you mean she said "I said ONly you and no one else can pull that Soppot 88" she laughed LOUD and understood me very well.”

“I loved the new shiny and sparkly Kim when "You came" stormed the charts in the summer of '88. She was back and this time with more star quality than ever. I must say though that "Another step" is a great album with some very good songs, but a bit messy perhaps. "Close" was more together like the first 2 albums, like the songs were one whole divided into 10 little stories. Her mystery was long gone but she had star quality. Now to Beatles Vs. Stones, I'm pretty sure I would end up buying the Best of Beatles if I had to choose, but I like both and the reason I would take Beatles would be that I know more of their songs. IF the Beatles were still "alive" it may would have been different. I would love to go to a Stones concert but the tickets in Denmark were sold within 6 hours. I respect people who can continue making music for so many years and still have an audience. ”

“Hmmm... "Close". That s right, WS. I agree on that too. You know, I had loved Kim for a few years yet, but I also saw her wild power fading to grey after the shiny "Select", "Catch" and "T&D". I mean, "Another Step" was sort of a mess, or wasn t it? After having entered brilliantly the electro era, the Wildes didn t sell as much as they used to, and they decided to go back to their roots: "the rock n roll". And even if "Another Step" had great songs on both sides, its ensemble was giving Kim a bad treatment I guess. Her image was darker than ever and her "Songs about Love" showed clearly what kind of mood she was in: a sixties girl trapped in the '80s... But she hadn t said her last word! "Close" was about to come with a brandnew Kim, shining from her hair to her high heels! She made it beautifuly in '88. I remember the press writing about her longivity in such a short living business, comparing her to the likes of Eurythmics! 1988 was a re-birth for our sweetheart, but it also was the beginning of a new perception on things for her. Watching Wacko so far from the real life scared her and led her to existential questions about her... But you re right, "Close" was a beautiful revenge. I had waited badly for it, maybe as much as her! Now Massive Attack, what a great track. Simply a classic! I never got bored of its perfect balance of melancholy and hope.”

Threre is no doubt in my mind about the two songs, I would go for Massive attack's "Unfinished" I really like that song. DM Vs. Erasure I also choose DM they have been making great music for more than 20 years and Erasure is for me something great from 1986-199something. Also with "The innoncents" as the best album. Of course, in the brunette VS blonde battle, Marilyn was always seen as a "lovely idiot" while an actress like Lauren Bacall was more respected. Maybe it was wrong. That's how I found out about Kim and got completely mad about her instantly ! “So funny - I also totally disliked Sue Ellen back then but later realised that she was the real "diva" in Dallas and Pamela was a sugar sweet chicken who had no balls whatsoever. Sue Ellen only had one problem, she never knew when to say stop and she always had to drive home when she had one or 20 drinks too much. I can still see that mega car of hers going down the driveway to Southfork, wheels burning and Sue Ellen crying and the car going from one side of the road the the other. “When I was a child, I was fascinated by the blondiness of Agnetha of course. Quite a similar attraction as I felt for Princess Diana. I also was more attracted by Pamela than Sue Ellen in the first place and I think it s right. I mean, how would I have seen the beauty and the tragedy of Sue Ellen? If there ever was a diva in Dallas, then it was her. Pamela was just an insipid Barbie girl. Sue Ellen was an alcooliK, she enjoyed havîng sex with very very very young guys. Well, a perfect mixture of victimhood and dominatriX. As for the ABBA girls, I hated Frida, just like Camilla today ;-) I m just kidding of course. But hey, imagine something... “Wildestorm... Havent seen the 'Nanas for years! I think I actually prefer keeping their freshness into my souvenirs than inflicting to myself the gravity playing on Bananarama ;-) But anyway, last Saturday, me and my guy and our friends went partying wildely in a historical club of our town. We already were high enough as we had laughed, drunk a lot of champagne and danced at least for 5 times on Mrs R s "hUng Up"! So when we arrived there, there were people waiting outside in the cold and joined them while I heard... Nena? Was it Nena??? Yes! "Hast du etwas Zeit für Mich, dann singe ich ein Lied für Dich, von 99 Luftballons auf ihren zum Horizont...", I started jumping around, singing and laughing loudly. People around us started singing and laughing too, it remained me the good ol'days, when I loved being a diva... Anyway, who was next after Nena? Guess who??? Another brilliant '80s invention who never stopped reinventing herself, an eternal Material Girl, the dance floor confessionary lady Madonna! So I jumped even higher and made everyone sing, it was so funny! I can tell nobody felt the cold in the queue anymore... Well, it all started as a good good night out. But what would it have been without Kim Wilde, tell me? So, after Nena and Madonna, the DJ put our sweetheart on with her teenager voice singing "Kids in America"! It was fantastiK to start with the fab 3, it made me feel fabulous! (I actually was a histerical drunk gay fofolle, but I really was fabulous!) Everybody smiled and danced with me, like if I was a lovely slut, it was nice! And then, when we got into the club, the DJ (a famous gay artist in our town) went on his '80s dramatiK pastiche to remind people how great we all were! So, I could even show my guy the 'Nanas routine on their "Help" cover with Jennifer Sanders. He laughed like crazy and told me "Oh darling, I definitely wouldn t have been a teenager in the '80s!", and I had to convince him, so I danced even with more conviction and told him, "You wish!". We had a great time, it was so cool!!! So you know, I love New York and Our Town ;-) And Wildestorm, thank you for reminding the ones who would have forgotten about the AIDS day. Just 1 day in our lives dedicated to the ones who live it each day of their lives... So, I m leaving now. Robert De Niro s waiting! Good bye, let love shine!”

“Well Anne Marie i discover Kim first time on TV (Armenia) they showed "You Keep Me Hangin on" but not the Videoclip but Tv perf from Peters Pop show Kim was wearing black tight tertleneck dress high heels looking gorgeous, and moving her hips left and right rocking the stage...
