I can definitely relate to that...I'm testing a new aircraft and participating in the development of a modification to another, so its been crazy around here. Your sig text fits so well at the moment. :) I don't know...I think Kim probably loved Heavy Metal back in those days as much as I did. I couldn't get enough of it!!! You wouldn't know it to look at me though. I'm not sure if it was the same in Sweden back in the 80's, but here in the US, you were either New Wave or Heavy Metal...and it all somehow was dictated by how you looked. Heh...I covered all the bases though in my musical tastes, I LOVED, and still do, New Wave...same with Metal, and Punk...it was also a favorite. It was really funny when I was growing up. My stepbrother is lead guitar with the band Goldfinger. Heh...he used to talk so much s**t about how he hated New Wave when we were kids, and that it would die long before Metal ever did. He also swore he'd always have long hair. Needless to say, I was shocked when, a few years before Goldfinger got signed, me and him were driving somewhere in Lancaster, CA and Berlin's "No More Words" comes on the radio. I expected him to scoff and change the station, but 2 minutes later, its blasting from the speakers and both of us are singing along at the tops of our lungs. LOL. It was also kinda funny to hear Goldfinger do a cover of 99 Luftballons by Nena. I see that you mentioned Goth...did you like Bauhaus? Those guys were great! One of my favorite bands that pioneered a lot of this stuff, before I was even born though, was The Stooges.”

It's a good idea,I'm gonna write a little word to my daughter's music teacher about Serge Gainsbourg.When we have a long road by car,we take lots of CDs(I never forget Kim!) and I often choose a compilation of Serge Gainsbourg as my daughters love one of his songs called L'ami cahouète (l'ami cahouète me fait la fête,cacahouète,l'ami binet s'est débiné,cabinet...),they're lol,we have great fun with this song in the car and it's a good one for rhymes. I remember I saw Serge Gainsbourg once on tv,he was playing piano,a classic music part,it seemed so easy for him and it was the first time I heard play this way,he was fantastic. I'm really bad to remember sentences said by writers but once he said this one to someone who talked to him about his physical appearance: "la laideur est supérieure à la beauté dans la mesure où elle dure" (it says something like "the ugliness is superior to the beauty because it lasts"). ”

“Karl, That would have to be David Bowie on his hits tour.He came in the dressing room on day one introduced himself and said use any of their facilities,gym,games room,studio etc,all in trucks.Any problems,tell him personally,added to that his band were amazing musicians and would hang out in the hotels,football matches,Wilde v Bowie etc,I broke my big toe in an over enthusiastic tackle and hobbled around for the rest of the tour.Also in Switerland we were invited home by Claude Nobs who ran the Montreal Jazz Festival,he personally cooked dinner for the whole band and showed us highlights of the festivals from years gone by in his home cinema. Absolute gentlemen,both.”

“Kjel, I have been maintaining this site for years now and I can tell you that there's no particular rule regarding what Kim Wilde fans like or dislike. Some are young, some are older; some are only interested in 80s nostalgia, some enjoy today's music. Some people don't care about anything but Kim herself, her looks and attitude; others, they're music lovers and they enjoy exploring all the topics related to the sources of her inspiration. Some are incredibly nice, but some are total freaks. Now, talking about this very site, there's one thing in common amongst all my visitors : they enjoy having fun. Probably because I chose to focus on the entertaining side: multimedia. Having fun is certainly what make my 1.000 daily visitors return, and get more numerous every day. However, if people were *only* here to comment those videos in the usual "she's sexy / she sings pretty well / blah blah", I think I'd have lost my motivation to maintain this site a long time ago. Here, you can leave a comment, but you can talk about the weather as well, and also.. enjoy in silence. If you're only interested in watching videos, I highly advise that you subscribe to youTube. But maybe you are a very important person regarding Kim Wilde s career, so maybe this site should point this out more clearly, so that the ones who are not in the "club" get a better idea of who you are. Besides, and this I mean completly honestly, I could understand if Kim Wilde and the current band would not like to appear in this forum. I even would advise them not to do so. Because if she really wants to get in contact with her fans, this definetly would be the the wrong Forum to do so; as this Forum is just reigned by a steady group of maybe 10 people, who rather want to celebrate themselves in various and weird kind of ways than Kim Wilde, which this site is supposed to be dedicated. Ever noticed that new members most of the time just post short comments to a video or performance and dissappear again, but almost never are interested in sharing conversation with you ? except maybe they scent the possibility to put links on this site to promote their own new music following the example that is done by the "important 10" ? (what very nice pictures she had with the singles there too) Dont mean to say the images are the only reason why a record would be a top seller. But if you have such a beautiful woman to put on a cover like Kim Wilde, why not show it ???? and besides, I dont think you have to spend that much money on a great video, because its still the ideas, the creativity that count and not expensive sets. I think the "you came 2006" video wasnt that bad. “I am not that crazy about New "Never say never" Photoshoots but they are OK i guess they re done at least with grace and style. But that said Nowdays in this CRAZYYY MAD World where everywhere you look on Magazines and newspapers and news they are Models and beautiful woman some with Photoshops some without that much of touch ups.. BUT I think it is Time for nice photographer and Stylist to take New photos of Kim with her new and fresh hairdo. I remember my one of favorite videos of Kim weren't that successful anyway-Million Miles Away & Breakin Away/Shame are excamples. Then you have Anytime, Anyplace where Kim looks like she just got cought in the rain before the videoshoot AAA became one of the most successful songs.”

“im not a madonna fan either, but one thing is for sure: she definetly has a better management !!! i was very disappointed that there was no chance at the concerts to buy anykind of kim wilde fan articles like there used to be at her first concerts. like so many other fans i desinged my Kim-Wilde-Tour-2007-Fan-shirt on my own. the few Kim Wilde posters that hang in the live music hall in cologn were picked away very quickly by fans. not one single thing to buy. up to when the concert tour started i was hoping that on the click here page it would have been possible to buy some tshirts, posters or anything else, as there is annouced that the kim wilde shop will come soon... Still very disappointed about that... would have loved to have "something to remember..." = to say it with madonna s words, who certainly woulnt have missed the chance to sell sth to her fans..... bad bad management, or whose to blame ....smile and something else was said here, i totally agree with: its definetly time for a live DVD !!!!! Kim, please ! would also be a chance to proof people wrong, who state you are not a good live performer... !! ”

I really think it took English talent to get her cool,all that Hollywood showbiz stuff did nothing for me. “Hello, I was yesterday in Luxembourg to see Kim and the show was amazing. The venue seemed smaller than Paris or Brussels but according to the security guy, there were about 1500 people. I saw Kim arrived in the afternoon and after a few moment, she came close to her fans to sign autographs and take pictures. She was very nice and smiling as always. At 9.00 the show began. There were some changes in the order of the songs but the setlist was the same (except no "you'll never be so wrong"). kim had her new look wich fits perfectly with this kind of venue. It was mor like a garage than a theatre. The show was very enegic, the band semmed to really enjoy this evening and even Roxane danced much more than previously. The audience was also very receptive. At the end, we had the chance to see Scarlett who was also very happy to be there. It was really a "rock show". Nick Beggs was also funny with his new haircut. After the show, Kim came out quickly and again she signed autographs. It was easier for her and for us because of the security measures. We stood behind barriers and kim was in the middle, there was no pushing. It was a really great evening. The only negative point was that we couldn't take pictures during the show. According to the security it was Kim manager's decision.”

“Dear Kim-Wilde-Fans ! I saw the concerts in cologn and hamburg (where she already had her curly hair...indeed, looks very wild..)! I must admit i was a bit scared because the newspapers just wrote bad stuff about her (her singing etc) and i was afraid they could be right. But the truth is that the journalists are such a bunch of a s _ h o l _ s. You really are !! I just can speak for the concerts in cologn and hamburg ! and they were simply fantastic. The best Kim Wilde concerts ever. She looked brilliant and sexy, her show was great, her moves, dancing, and the music, musicians and above all: her singing !!!!! her timbre didnt change at all, still this wonderful unique voice, and unlike the newspapers say: she DID hit every note ! and even perfectly and with emotion and everything else. and with songs like "four letter word" she even proved how to play with head resonance etc, that she exactly knows what to do with her voice. It was a pleasure listening to her. Thank you very much Kim, for having you back in such a great shape !! the next day on tv a journalist reported about her, saying like many other 80stars she is trying to come back because of money reasons and added some other not really flattering stuff. Thinking about writing a comment to the tv station about this. Embarrasing how little they know about Kim Wilde and even dare to speak it out loud false things on tv. Guess thats what a star has to deal with nowadays. Anyhow, I was there, I know the truth ! KIM, you are great ! PS: all the people i spoke to and including me, appreciated the rock-sound of the concert very much !! its great to hear guitars around her voice. enjoyed it much more than the keyboard sounds ! The cioncert in Copenhagen was without a doubt the best Kim Wilde concert I ever has been to and it seems like everyone just have this feeling about the tour. This tour was totally incredible, and I've got so many stories to tell, pictures to show, people to thank.... I loved having the rendez-vous with Jerzy & co. yesterday and it was very great to meet the German, Dutch and Danish fans I did speak to. Everyone who was at the concerts will agree that it was a great show, truly rock & roll and integrally unforgettable. “Berlin concert was amazing. Kim had a new hairstyle and new outfit - both much better and flattering than the previous ones, I must say. (and those shoes, OMG!) And I would agree with Sabrina that her vocal performance was very, very powerful. She was also so sweet when we had a chance to meet her before and after the concert. It was a night to remember - it all just clicked. And at one point Kim picked up the Polish flag from the crowd, which was a special and funny moment for the small Polish representation there. It was great to feel like a teenager again, to meet Marcel, Ricky and Roxanne, who are all incredibly kind. And Sabrina, I shouted hello to you when you were standing at the door before the concert. You smiled and waved but probably thought: who the hell is that guy? :) You looked like a star and we were hoping you would be there singing the backing vocals. ”

“Hi everybody out there! Steve asked me to let you guys know how the German leg of the tour went! Marcel's site seems to be down at the moment. He is on his way back home and I am pretty sure he will fix the problem as soon as he sits in front of this computer... The shows were all great and the german audience loved Kimmi! Hamburg totally rocked! It was so touching to see how much the fans love her and how happy everybody was that she is back on stage. I had tears in my eyes a few times on this tour ;-) Right after Cambodia the crowd didn't stop screaming and shouting for a minute at least...and a minute can be really long! Kim was so touched and said: "What's going on with you people? Did you win a soccer match or something?"..hehehe! The set list was just excellent. Birthday Song was for sure one of the highlights for the fans...as well as the cover versions of Chasing Cars and Enjoy the silence. Good fun to hear such songs sung by her. The band was awesome, too! Great musicians, lovely people. And I really want to highlight ROXANNE! She did such a great job. Wow! What a lovely voice she has. As clear as a shining cristall! Just beautiful!!! My "BEST AUDIENCE" TOP 4: 1. HAMBURG 2. Munich 3. Cologne 4. Berlin I was a bit disappointed by my hometown Berlin...but the Berlin crowd is well known as a "hard to get audience". But it was still awesome!!!! My "BEST SHOW" TOP 4: 1. Berlin (she sang just amazing! What a voice!!!) 2. Hamburg 3. Munich 4. Cologne Kim looked sensational...especially in Berlin. What a hot outfit! Very classy, very sexy and stylish! And the curly hair...James would have loved it! hehehe... Now the German tour is over which is really, really sad. But she'll come back! That's something to look forward to. And one more thing: the Kim Wilde fans are for sure the "perfect fans" as Yvonne, Muriel, Roberto and all the others stated on their "Goodbye banner" in Berlin. What a loyal bunch of people you are. It's great to see that one single person can have such an effect on others....just by giving great music and performances to the people! Well, "music and love makes the world a better place, right?" And Kimmi does a great job on that one...hehe... I will never ever forget this tour. Job wise I met so many artists/bands/celebraties in the past 12 years that I am in this crazy business. But none of them (no matter how famous) come close to the lady! Yesterday,my daughter had to learn for school the song Emmenez-moi by Charles Aznavour,she was desperate as I was listening to Rum punch song and Out of control with iPod,and she said oh Mum,I'd prefer to have to learn these songs for school instead of Charles Aznavour,it's more modern!Karina and JR,I suppose you like him as Armenians but to my opinion,it sounds too old,I know Charles Aznavour is appreciated in the United States.I don't know why music teachers are unable to give songs made for children of 11. Karina,do you speak of The war of Roses with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner? “Steve,it's a bit because of you if I spent all my week end from morning till night studying my english (for real,I ran with my two beloved friends then we had breakfast together(for those who have fat to lose it's better to run in the morning before eating and slowly) and we chatted for hours,talked about clothes,...,next sunbathed,gardened,bought good books,laughed with my daughters,... what a hard life!).
