“Pat, are you kidding me?! Babe, I wished she'd released EVERYTHING she's ever done. That Kids in America don't stand a chance alongside half of the debut album, nevermind the FAR better stuff that followed. Kim has ALWAYS done quality b-sides that, unlike most people's ones are actually brilliant, full of atmosphere, beauty, brains, melody and have HIT written all over them! Enough said. Her record company screwed up since the beginning of 'Time'-trust them to see the 'safe' album close as most useful for hits. Hello ALL her 80s albums are full of them, as is Love Is, Never Say Never and ALL her b-sides and the b-side to 'Born To Be Wild' is excellent. Typical it's a b-side. I want 'Lovers On A Beach' in it's proper 8minute glory put on CD. Why does Kim NEVER do double a/sides?! God I could kill her management!”
“What's with the 'it should have been released instead of 'Child Come Away' nonsense. Don't blame a brill song for this being overlooked, blame that bleeding Kids song that seems to take pride of place for everyone over her brilliantly dark, depressing, dreamy and futuristic 1982-1985 songs-which are many of her best! Blame EMI for only releasing 2 songs off the album-what WERE they thinking?! And 'Child Come Away' wasn't from the album anyway, though it has come much in common with in lyrically and musically. Great mix-without the repeating echos, it could be the normal song-just longer, but then Kim's songs have always been too short. If only you could put this on the album too!”

“That she is Dave, yes. Not even beautiful landscapes can eclipse a beautiful woman in that landscape. Hope you can see the scenes. Great slide show it is!! The book has certain parts waiting still, other parts I want to really quicken the flow of writing so things sound spontaneous. A speech recognition program would be ideal here. Saves a lot of typing. I know where it's going, the structure, the chapters, the feel of Kim's personality I want to illuminate, so I'm very excited. But there is the downside too. There is so much cruelty against Kim in the Media, it can make a grown man cry. I want to put this dreadful attitude against her to rights. Kim is very sweet, and so easily destroyed by people. I want to make her feel whole and proud of herself, for she deserves to feel that way.”
