“Well, I love a good guitar, be it a distorted or an acoustic one! The song is indeed very suitable for an acoustic version and I find Kim to be absolutely great during this performance. Kim Wilde "unplugged" is certainly not something we tend to see often, so this was certainly a treat! While I never was a huge fan of "You Came", I realise after some consideration that it'd feel strange not giving this performance a 10.”

“I don't know but for me i can never be objective on You Came -i ve heard the song so many times, my feelings for that song is kind of numb but i can understand for Fresh ears it will sound quite Pleasant...BUT album has so much better to offer, "You Came" sounds so plain compare to the New songs -Can't wait for New Single. “Calanor: I know that sometimes "super produced" can sometimes ruin an artists sound, but sometimes it makes a studio album especially pop-rock-electronic genre albums sound really really good and to me this is one of those times. It's just my opinion. I also like the acoustic performance of You Came 2006 which is exactly the oposite. Just shows that the ride that we are all going to take with this album and tour is going to be a really great one!!”

“Oh my my New album sounds -how can i say "Out of space" Good :), i am so pleased hearing those songs - even Rocki numbers are HOT like Game over/I Fly..Together again is very nice song/ Forgive me sounds a bit Madonnaish "Sorry" but a fantastic dance record..I heard 30 seconds only but from what i heard BY ME - this is the best album Kim has ever done...NOT even one song that i would say its Just Ok. TWB sound very promising indeed - perhaps with a touch of Garbage. Same goes for Perfect Girl, I think :) Personally, Game Over strikes me as the most interesting song, with - in my opinion - influences of Kimmy's 1981 days :) Oh well, time will tell!”

Some artists, I like less production, but with Kim, she sounds best with tight production and I can tell it's going to kick hard on any decent sound system. I must admit that I was happily surprised to note that it's not all pop/dance after all - some of the songs sound to be quite in my taste :) Yay! “it is so funny that we are talking about this subject because I'm also a really big Pat Benatar fan and she gets the 80's label thing thrown at her just like Kim does. She has sold 30+ Million albums and toured almost every year for 25 years but just like Kim, she gets the 80's label. I think the fact that they both kept their core audience all these years shows how special their talent is. i mean look at how the web-sites for Kim stayed strong even when she retreated to the garden. “It's a great 2006 soft rock video! Quite simple but with a storyline (not all Kim's videos had one...), Kim looks great, it's sometimes funny, there are a few homages to her past videos but it's not nostalgic.. It's Kim Wilde 2006!! Not pretentious and very enjoyable.”

“I am not quite as blown away by this video as some others. The references to her career during the 80s (striped shirt, scarf tied to the mike stand etc) seem somewhat unnecessary to me and I find the repeated costume changes rather annoying, really. Perhaps I am overanalysing the video and will like it better when I see it in higher resolution, but right now I give it a 7. Absolutely not a disaster, but in no way one of her stronger promo vids.”

“Hello everyone, nice to see some action here again. I have missed the fun on this site, a place where a lot of stories and jokes were shared and maybe it's time for a revival? Would be nice. About the new "you came" song, what can I say...I loved it the first time and I love this new version. The video is fab in my opinion and Kim looks amazing. This was more than I dared dream of a few years ago. Now waiting for the whole album which I am sure will be a another dream come true. I am also looking forward to the other new versions of old tracks, as long as there is something creative that gives them a new life, like "You came 2006" I don't see anything wrong with people doing their old stuff once again. James: Well, there definitely are people who aren't overly enthusiastic about the original version; so in that case, it's not strange that they'd not jump about in joy after hearing the remake, which you feel didn't change much from the original :D Then we've got those that like the original a lot but don't like all the guitars added to the remake, I suppose. As for me, I think it's way better than the 88 version, but as you say it's still "You Came" - a song I never was very keen on in the first place. As for the remake being made for "fresh ears", I doubt it - I'd say that it's meant to be recognised by people, including those that never really listened to Kimmy much back in the day. I think that's the point of most remakes, really - I seriously doubt that they added 5 remakes and 1 remix (*sobs*) to the album with people who've never heard the original versions in mind.”
