Hello Wildeones,

Did everyone enjoy the concert? OMG What did you all wear? According to Kim's blog, it sounds like La Cigale really went off.

Wildestorm - I'm glad you got the opportunity to meet Kim again.

Jerzy - Luckily, I fell asleep after a night awake on a plane so I missed going to Polish Easter mass and avoided getting struck by lightning. Did you have a chance to say Bonjour to Gerard at the concert?

Pat from Paname: If I could have made it to Paris I would have loved to meet you AND belt you over the head with my hand bag!! Remember the time you wrote on this forum that I'm either so ugly that I can't get a boyfriend or either such a slut that I can't get enough ;) (women are like elephants, we don't forget) Grrrrrrr ...Actually I probably would have just given you a hug.

Alex: I know if we both could have made it we'd be frolicing around the streets of Paris the day after the concert. Although I do appreciate your Alisue Extasy alter ego, your such a gentleman and a lot of fun in real!

Mike: Have you been to any of the concerts? You should have gone to La Cigale - you get on the Eurostar, read a magazine and the next thing you know you're in France~!! Voila!

Krassi: How come you weren't at the concert? (Krassi is Kim's no.1 fan so I'm worried she might have been hospitalized) Thanks for dinner and fixing my handbag in 2007 darlin! My shout at the next gig!

James: What a fabulous idea
for Kim to duet with her niece! Scarlett's voice has really developed over the past two years, but she's still not as visually aware of herself as Kim.

Sigh...I wish I could fly over to New York just to have sushi and chardonay with you

Sabrina: I heard you went for a shop with Kim. Do you have any gigs lined up?

Caro and Dge: Thank you for your detailed reports.
Dge, I'm sorry I let you down - I almost went. Next time I'm in Europe, I let you know if I'm doing a stop over in Paris. Pascal, did you have fun?

Steve: It's so sad to hear about Clare's partner. All the fans know that Clare has been a genuine friend of Kim's since before she became famous.

Pierre, are you alive?

“Really nice to see so many of the "old" people here, coming back with comments. I miss the old days sometimes where this was THE forum to meet new and interesting people and always find new and exciting topics.
Nice to hear that Pat from Paname was at the show. Surely it would be nice to "meet" here again also with Alexander (alisuesexalisexsue whatever...) and the master himself, Pierre.
Luckily there is still a little action here and it is great to hear your reviews from the show in Paris. Copenhagen was wonderful too and meeting Kim after the show was nice. I asked her to please release "Loving you more" but she only smiled at that. She was so nice as always. ”

“Oh my God, it seems Lisa didn't survive that trip to the church LOL

I agree with everybody, the concert in La Cigale was amazingly good. Kim was in top form, looked brilliant nad sang well, at moments just perfectly. It was great to hear The Second Time in a rockier version, the same about Love Blonde or View From A Bridge. Cambodia was a special moment too - as usual. The highlights for me were the new songs - Loving You More Than You Know was exquisite and the dynamics of Ca Plane Pour Moi was unbelievable. There was so much good energy around. It was also fantastic to be accompanied by "Pat from Paname" who some of you might remember from this forum and who is a guy of great brightness and warmth in real life. Bless you! ”

“Chose promise, chose dûe Karl, here is my review:

Thierry and I arrived in a rainy, grey and windy Paris,in the early afternoon.Too bad weather for hanging around till Le Sacré Coeur and Montmartre like we did before the previous gig,so we just let our stuff at the hotel beside La Cigale then had lunch in a brasserie close to the venue.I didn't feel like I was about to go to the Kim gig,I looked at the people around me,I felt like I was about to go to return to my job just after, like them.

We wanted to have a little break at the hotel but passing in front of La Cigale,we noticed there was already people waiting so we finally stopped there.Gérard,Pascal, the brave Belgian fans who had driven a lot as they had done the 2 previous gigs before, familiar heads of people who were already there 2 years ago.Sadly missing Pierre,Krasy,Karl, etc who brought such their enthusiasm 2 years before.
So we all waited for hours, chatting(about Kim, and all and everything;it's so nice to listen to other fans' views, what they feel, what they would like, what they miss, etc).
Then,we heard a great sound coming from in the indoors, rehearsals and sound checkings for the band,we were glad to hear a bit of the gig to come;we could listen to Scarlett singing, very good voice.A little time later,we heard a very powerful voice, and we knew the lioness was there!!Fantastic to hear that.
In this afternoon,Rick and Mason,also Scarlett,went out and some fans asked for autographs and photos.I was pleased to see how people can be happy to share these moments;
Then came the time to come in,we were all ready! We ran as fast as we can to be as close as possible from the stage.I was at the second row (with a very little woman in front of me so it was perfect!)right in the middle.I was a bit upset because my sister could only arrive late in the afternoon but finally I looked behind seeing she was two rows behind so she joined me.We waited for sharing that moment for so many years(the only gig we saw together was in 1986)so we were overjoyed. We didn't believe we could do that one day.And it was this day!
The first part began with this young singer and his guitarist,it was nice,it was lovely to see how they behaved,a mix of shyness, braveness to be in front of people who didn't know them at all and were not there for them, and strongness.
Then the band came in and people were very happy. What saying about Kim when she arrived?Big big noise for her, fans clapping, cheering,Kim's magic will always work!
Kim was fantastic, her voice was very strong, always with her great humour. She was very talkative(I love it!).And how beautiful! My sister and I were right in front of her so as girls,we even noticed her pretty shoes(important detail!),and her jewels, etc

Once again,it was obvious Kim was happy to be there and I can say the same about the fans,we were all there to share these little moments of happiness that make life beautiful.
Each one of the songs was a new joy,I also liked A Little Respect that I didn't know.I read Rick's blog,he sums up the atmosphere of this gig very well and he's right when he says that when Kim began to sing Loving You More than you Know,we would have heard a fly flying(I don't remember how English say that). It was the kind of song I had expected,a nice melody, with only a little accompaniment to put Kim's voice in advantage,Perfect!I hope the next album will be in this spirit.
Next album means next gig,at least I hope so!

Thank you Kim and everyone.

“Lisa darling,
.
It was simply the best concert i've ever seen. Far better than 2 years ago, better than in 83, 85, 87 ... Incredible. I won't speak about her beauty, she was incredibly beautiful - James you would have been happy with the hair:-)
Her voice was perfect, not a single wrong note, powerful- but not shouting- when it needed, sweet and very melodic sometimes, the group was strong, the crowd was absolutly crazy. I often show myself critical with her comeback-tour in 2007, so you can imagine than those words are not the words of a blind fan...
Wish you were there, Lisa, Jerzy, Alexandre, Karl to share this unforgetable evening ...

“JR: “I saw a great movie few days ago "The other Boleyn girl" w/Natalie Portman & Scarlette Johanson -Go see it."

According to what I've heard, it's outright bad, assuming that you care one tiny bit about historical accuracy, which I do when it comes to films that are being announced as historical ones. I haven't seen it myself, but comments from friends put me off quite a bit. I do think Scarlett's a good actor though (too much attention's been focused on her - admittedly good - looks), so it's unusual of me not to watch a film that is both historical and that's featuring good actors.”
