Steve Byrd is *officially* a legend. From the moment Kim hand-selected him from amongst 100 applicants at an audition at Nomis Studios in London, he was part of the family.. Although we don't see him as often as we should - or would like - it always impresses me that as soon as he and Kim get together, it's as if they've never been apart. They share memories and tour stories and, of course, both have a fairly unique sense of humour Being non-musical myself, I'm impressed by most players, but Steve is something else. He's one of that rare breed whose instrument almost becomes a part of them, an extension of themselves if you like........and, yes, he really does make it talk! Happy 50th Steve - I'm not that far behind you!
