 I was born in the begining of the 80's and when I was growing up I would listen to this song over and over...to me this song is about a women, traped in her relationship with her ex who will not let her go. I LOVE THIS VIDEO !!!!

 I like this video because it taled about how she is a prisoner of a ex-boyfriend who can't seem to let her go, and she is saying you don't love me , your just hanging on to me for your use.

 I don't know why but I think I just understood the video for "You Keep Me Hangin' On". In this vid, Kim is taken hostage in what looks like a basement, all wet and dirty with nothing but a bed. The shadowy man is the guy who kidnapped her and comes from time to time to check her out. And she screams, of course, "Set me free !!!". Don't know how she escaped at the end though.

 Have any of you Wilders heard the brand new remake of "You keep me hangin' on" ? It's by an electronic band called Blue Ice, I think they come from Finland. It's very club-oriented, with female vocals and on one version there's a rap by a guy. It's really inspired by Kim's version, especially when it comes to lyrics with the line "you're just using me, hey !, abusing me" which was rewritten by Kim and Ricky. It's actually quite good, much better than the Sinema's version last summer.

 Welll ITS a 10 10 10+...Today the Finlaists of American Idol first Looser Lea got booted out 30million people watched her how Bolgarian Girl Lea sang Kim Wilde's "You Keep Me Hangin on"...and she failed...well it takes a LOT to sing this Song, so far no one can top Kim :) Kimmie we miss you..  Thank you Sweet Lisa ! Now vote for "You Keep Me Hangin' On" ! I know it's a cover, and not a Wilde original.. They clearly did it to help Kim go back to the charts (at the time covers were the big thing), so it was a bit cynical and commercial move. But they did it magnifiquement. I remember hearing it first on the radio in September '86, but I didn't know it was Kim's new single since "Schoolgirl" had been released only in June. I thought to myself "Wow, that singer is clearly copying Kim's style". Kim sings particularly well especially the part "so let me find somebody eeeeeeeeelllllllssssssse". Voilà, vote for it guys ! And please let us all forget "I can't say goodbye" : what a boring song !! I mean Kim singing on violins ? Please, Kim's a pop-rock chick, not Liza Minelli !

 well, what can i say. this song is such a classic and my earliest memory of a Kim Wilde song being played (as i'm only 21).my sister bought this for me as a present when i was six and i've still got it! whenever i go clubbing at the Astoria in London i always get them to play it for me - it's wicked! great video too.

 I remember clubbing on the weekends in the late 80's and playing the cassette of this song over and over and over. I actually had to purchase a few copies. Her version of this classic is better than the original and that was almost impossible to do when you are talking about the beloved Supremes. A much deserved #1 World-Wide!!

It went # 1 in USA, Australia, Japan, Canada and deserves it.. 1-10 is a 10... As a video its simple and Very hot. However i remember Kim perf this song in Germ Pet Pop Show with Blck tight dress, and give 100% Good performance its even better, thats what in Russia they were Keep playing over and over instead of the original Video..
