 Much as I am emotionally attached to the original version I must admit that Kim's vocal performance here (after such a long break!) was impressive and this particular version managed to capture the magic quality of the original. You can see how Kim has matured as an artist and how her singing technique has improved since 1982.

 Voila la Kim que j'aime, parfaite, du live, du rock et c'est le top, a quand un retour très rock?

 VFAB is a perfect New Wave moment - the original that is. I really hate this version not necessarily because of a different style, but because it doesn't work. The verses are so at odds with the arrangement. Even Kim singing well can't save it. The only nice touch is the quiet reflective rendering of the opening theme. The whole thing could be worse though - Pulsedriver's Cambodia - now that's truly awful.

 VFAB probably one of the best songs from Kim, whether in its original version (ah...the London bridge intro...), played live (the amazing '82 version, the '85 one with the drums solo, and what about the '86 version with that strange submarine intro) or this RAW remix which sublimes the lyrics about the tragic story of a suicide blonde. Great stuff ! A pop song that teases and dares. Shoulda been a classic in pop music along with "Don't You Want Me" and "Video Killed The Radio Star", alas VFAB isn't played often on radio nowadays... Why oh why?

 I'm really not too keen on the Raw remix of VFAB. Actually, I outright dislike it - however, Kim's quite good here. That's the basically the only reason to why I'm giving the performance a, under the circumstances, "high" rating.

 I found it quite an interesting experience to slow down the rythm of VFAB into an electronic track, instead of accelerating it like it was generally done at every gig. As a result, Kim is able to give the best of her voice.
