Kim's style is superb !
It was the autumn of 1984 and she always kept me smiling :)

The best female singer ever singing a top song from her 3rd 5star album-it's rockin', loud&we're loving it! And really enjoyn it as she shud&gettn a gr8 vibe from the crowd as she shud! If she cud just dump bleedn 'KidsnAmerica' & concentrate on the ignored songs that matter these days. Not EVERY set NEEDS 'You Came' 'You Keep Me Hangin'On', 'Chequered Love', 'Cambodia'&'View From A Bridge'-theyr lovely but take up room wen she shud be doing 'House Of Salome', 'Ego', 'The Touch', 'Take Me2nite', 'I Got So Much Luv', 'Child Come Away', 'Dream Sequence', 'Storm In Our Hearts', 'Turn It On' & 'I Believe In You' 4 starters. REAL fans & as I am unquestionably THE biggest want everything esp.the gr8 ignored-which if aint off an album the year it's out, is everything she's evr done. Damn the woman!

Love that song, especially the Dave Edmunds remix. "Rage to love" was a great track especially in a very electronic album. Musically, I think the "Rage to Rock tour" was the best of all Kim's tours. The band was fab (especially Steve and Preston Heyman on drums - remember his fantastic drums solo on "View From A Bridge" ?). It was great to turn "Teases and dares" into "Teases and rocks", all the album tracks were played wonderfully live. Even "Bladerunner" which was a computer song turned in a great poignant ballad ! Steve, your contribution to "Rage to Love" was essential, I coudn't even imagine the song without the "doo bee doo bee doo doo bop bop" ! I think your biography is great and very well told. I'm very interested by your point of view as a musician. I love Kim for her looks, her personality, but most of all for her songs, her music. There have been highs (the RAK years, "Another Step") and lows (sorry but most tracks from "Close" and "Love Moves" are a bit too Stock-Aitken-Waterman oriented IMO). Vote for "Kim Wilde" on the LP polls and Steve, tell us more tell us more ! :-))

Now, true, it's lip syncing, but the song is so fantastic I don't care! I love what she's wearing, and the band looks cool too. This is just one of my top five KW songs of all time, and that's that!

Nice, but IŽd rather her live perfomances.

This mix is so much more convincing than the album version. The song itself back in 1985 was so different from all the other chart material. It was traditional (rock'n'roll roots) and inventive at the same time. Not entirely my cup of tea (I prefer Kim exploring the synthethizer-generated sound territories) but still I appreciate it as a very creative piece of music. Its energy leaves you breathless.

Lovely! Kim in high energy gear! superb, you see: her love to perform, in this. I really loved the 12" with 'nobody stops'... pop pop the backings were so high on teases and dares overal!

I absolutely loved 'Rage to love' at the time. The 12" version is fabulous and I remember buying 'Record Mirror' every week to follow the singles way to the UK top 20... These where days!

Oh wow, I love to see Kim rockin' away! "Rage To Love" was always one of my favourites although many fans never seem to mention it. I must admit that the single version is much better than the album version as it gives it a bit of a kick and really gets you in the party mood. I still am yet to see the official videoclip *winks at Pierre*. And Steve, it certainly looks like a lot of fun to perform this track! I really hoped that Kim would have performed it at the "Here And Now" tour. Maybe next time.

Great performance even though it's not live. Reminds me of the first Kim Wilde koncert for me in 1985.

Cool perf, Is the guy on Kim's left (look Familiar) wonder who is that GUY? LOL i don't know something about this song so Elvis, i rather see and hear Kim singing Keep Me Hanging on or Another Step" type of songs.

This song was such fun for us to perform. We would have done it live as Pierre has shown a live version before. You have to remember that with many artist's on a show the producers could not cope with a live recording.A visual show and an audio concert are technically two totally different shows. My good friend John Rhino Edwards is on bass.He has been in Status Quo since then, and remains one of my best mates. On drums is Preston Hayman, who now works with Baby Spice Emma Bunton,on keyboards Jeff Hammer who I still use for sessions,he went on to tour with The Stray Cats,on Sax Richard Blanshard, who is now a tv programme maker.
It was the first time I contributed to a song with my guitar riff becoming the backing vocal riff too.Thats where our writing team began from.Dave Edmunds did a good job on the 7 inch mix too.Kim had fun paying homage to her father the King of English Rock and Roll and of course,Elvis.

I might not be crazy about the Rage to Love image (the clothes, to be more specific), but I do like the song a great deal - one of the better ones on T&D for sure. Good ol' rock - that'll never grow out of fashion ;) Even though the performance itself is perfectly fine, we're once again dealing with a lip synch, which certainly is a pity. That lowers the rating one notch to an 8.

"Rage to love" is except with "Water on Glass" one of the Kim Wilde singles that I really don't get very warm with yet. But I love this performance, and the crowd (the audience) seems to enjoy it well. I also like this shorter single edit. I'm just asking myself why they didn't release "Suburbs of Moscow" or "Shangri-la" as the 3rd release of TEASES & DARES. Any ideas???
