What? It's already been a year since this sweet little piece was last up on the site? *heavy sigh* Anyway, good to hear it again - 20 years might not have done wonders to the tape, but the song nevertheless is a great one.

Absolutely beautiful! As the years go by, I have gotten more and more into smooth jazz and British lounge music. Could Kim be heading that way? I certainly hope so, because, though I think Close is her best album, Love Is and Now and Forever are my two personal favorites. I am very pleased!

This is great. It's such a long time since we heard new material. Would be in time to get to # 1 in the Christmas charts!

What a sweet song, thanks for sharing. I really can't understand why some singles had album tracks on the B-side when there are music like this lying around just waiting to be released. A shame really...

It's always a lovely surprise to hear something new from Kim. Her voice sounds very warm and sensitive, her mark as a great natural singer. There is only one great vocal voice like this one! It feels very close to 4 letter word. Fragile and beautiful.

Definitely a song that would have deserved to be released. As Michael said, Kim's voice is well-suited for jazzy tunes (and rock chick ones _of course_ ;)). I quite like it - this would be around the Another Step period then, Steve? As for this track being suitable as part of a soundtrack, I agree - however, I think I've been watching David Lynch too much lately, cos somehow I feel that it could be a very suitable piece for one of his films :P.

I remember our first listen to this track at Steve's home studio last summer, along with my dear friends Krasi and Nasko. We suddenly got filled with respect, admiration and also sadness because, without having to say a word, we all understood what must be the feeling of giving birth to such a gem without being able to share it with anyone. My wish is that broadcasting it on Kim Wilde TV will eventually do it justice.

The tape might be losing its magnetism but not this song! Strange, but it sounds like a classic after the first listening, something between LOVE BLONDE, FOUR LETTER WORD and HYPNOTISE. Great we have the opportunity to enjoy this preccccious little tune. Thank you, Steve, the Lord of the KWTV Ring.

WOW, LOVE IT!!!!! Definitely should have been an album track, it would have perfectly fit in Close or even Another Step. I can't believe such a gorgeous track remained unreleased. Makes you wonder what other gems lay in the vault. Did you write this with Kim or just by yourself? Either way, what a splendid, wonderful gift to give us. No doubt about it - you're a Prince, Steve.

Who have guessed 20 years later we could hear such a treasure? I miss your voice so much Miss Wilde. And here, your voice is as i prefer it, so caressing. And the jazzy style (Love Blonde) suits you fine. Thanks boys for giving us the opportunity to hear that... I'm dreaming....

Everyone's Sweetheart was written on the four track cassette portastudio, just guitar and vocals. Rick said he liked it so we took it to Battery Studios, my then publisher Zomba gave us a free week with an engineer. We got a string bass sample and programmed that in with some rythm. Then I did the guitar. Kim put her vocals on and she played the stringsand other little bits and bobs. Kim was a little melancholy at the time and a good ballad can have the same effect as a good cry I think. We did about six songs that week. It was in the mid-eighties at a guess. Steve.
