 Love this song! I actually like this performance more than the video clip made for this song. I think her movement is more dynamic and her sudden jerking and tough image flow better with the lyrics. I do have one question, though. What's up with Kim's eye? I've noticed it in her earlier videos, one of her eyes remains half-closed when she tries to open both. In her later videos, though, her little "tic", or whatever you want to call it, seems to disappear. Anybody know?

 Awesome ! I remember watching it on french telly, the very day before the french release of "Love Blonde" back in July '83. They also play that night "Cambodia". Great, great teen-ager memory !

 What a relief, I can see it now! Yes M.M it is a fabulous performance ;-) So cool the young and pure Kim. Her own style of moving, singing performing. I love the live vocals as well, Kim always managed to give it a little different edge to make it exciting to track all the tv. performances. Absolutely a 10! I just wished there was a cd with these live songs available.

 Very good early live performance. What a difference between then and now! I wish watching videos didn't take so long now that I've switched from high speed to dialup. Anybody know how I can cure the videos of breaking up into segments on this format?

 Calanor, I never wrote anywhere on this site that Kim was a competitor during the Eurovision contest. I didn't tape that one myself but I was told that the 3-track live performance (Chequered Love, Cambodia & Kids) was played at the occasion of that special event, which requires validation. All I know is that some parts of the footage were re-used, in particular by an American TV program as the background of an interview of Kim. As for the date, it can be late '82 or early '83, considering the clothes and haircut, and the fact that Steve has joined the band.

 Kim looks great, sings great and pouts great. The only thing is, it's not one of my Kim's favourites, this Chequered Love number, and therefore I'm giving it 9 points only. It was a great period for Kim, the world seemed to lie at her feet.

 I was considering saving the 10 for the Eurovision performance of Cambodia, should Pierre choose to show it in the future. Realised, however, that that's kind of stupid really - this is right up my alley after all. A Select Kimmy singing one of her hits from the RAK era - and delivering it with quite a bit of energy, too. Also, the occasion itself is interesting - until quite recently, I wasn't even aware of the fact that Kim had performed at the Eurovision Song Contest - and it's annoying that I can't recall her performance, as I know that I was watching the contest on the telly back in -82. *frowns*

 It is great to see Kim when she was a young and rising Pop Star. Great performance, thanks for sharing this clip with us.
