Steve's guitar definitely makes this sound different from the studio recording. Never saw the movie, but have always liked this song and "Shangri-La" quite a bit. "Fit in" is my favorite from T & D, though.

This sounds so much better than I remembered it, and I don't mean because the speed is a little off :-) I love Teases & Dares but this makes me wish for an alternative version of the album, with "real" instruments instead of computers (which was the main peeve of the critics back then.) And yes Lisa, this was inspired by a movie; guess which? At the time a bunch of us wanted to make a video out of it. I had written a script (not having seen the original then) but we never got around to filming it. Which is probably as well, now that I think of it...

That song is much much better live than in the album which had way too many computer sounds : Steve Byrd on guitar changed it totally into a soulful experience. Thanks Steve ! By the way, if you think Kim's voice is too high, that's normal, the taping was made at a little faster speed !

Was this inspired by an action movie?

I was at that concert too! It was actually my second KW concert, I attended her first in 1982 also in the Falkoner Center... I remember I was really looking forward to se her perform 'The second time' - and wasn't dissapointed.

Well I was at the concert in Copenhagen on April 2. 1985 and remember clearly how great is was. It was my first concert ever and "Bladerunner" was my all time Kim Wilde ballad together with "Take me tonight" at the time. I think it was song no. 4 in the set. Great to hear it again. Thanks.
